Since this is a game, I don't care at all what my character wears, I think its fun to try out new things even if its nice or ugly. One day I would put on something crazy, another day I dress normal. I don't feel any need to dress like I would in real life. One day I would put on a leopard sweater with purple pants and a green hat with white shoes and blue make up, so ugly, but does it matter? Another day I would put on jeans and a regular t-shirt with simple make up and some earrings. A couple of days ago i ran around in a blue bikini top with blue jeans so I could see the new tattoo on my back. It's not like my character needs a boyfriend or anything, so who cares?

 

Why is this girls-on-internet thing so big? And why do you guys talk about gamer girls being ugly? Are you any better yourselves? And does it really matter? Of all places I did not think that the gamer community was this superficial(actually it's not where I'm from). I don't care what people I play with look like, and I don't understand why so many guys care.

I'd rather run around like a fool in a bikini, than wear that stupid ugly, horrid scarf, lol. I play around with my character a lot, in terms of make-up and hair color but I have never had an hair besides the ponytail because all the other styles are terrible.

 

Make-up makes a huge difference. You can seem like you're playing as a completely different character.

Here's a kooky question for those of you who play as females in the online. Does anyone actually dress your females like real women? Let me explain:

 

Lately from the online, I've seen some crazy looking female avatars. Either they have some odd face paint on or they dress like strippers from the Vanilla Unicorn. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that, but it's awkward to see them in cutscenes with other players. Does anyone actually dress your female with the skirts, the camisoles, the sandals, the necklaces or earrings? I'm talking about the denim jackets and cargo pants too.

 

I hardly see anyone actually make a really beautiful looking female without overdoing it. I may be wrong, but I'm just putting this out there.

 

Also, does anyone use the 'Natural Look' or 'No Makeup' options? There's a lot of variety with the females and I wish more people would actually use them.

 

I understand that the environment of GTA is not all that customary for a woman, but it's the freedom to actually play as a female is what makes it so alluring to me. But anyway, if anyone has similar thoughts or cool descriptions of their chars, I'd be happy to read. Thank you..

I try to, mind you I am a young woman so I'm not interested in the tramp look (at least now always ). In terms of the men who play as girls, it' could be they want a little eye candy to watch running around with no clothes on lol. Or as guys maybe they don't have fashion sense (in dressing a woman)...don't know. I also think the character customization is really bad, especially for females. I don't think it's possible to create a 'beautiful' avatar... I made two avatars my first is higher in rank but I play the second now (which is only level 7) just because it looks slightly better than the first one I made.

I play two female avatars. They look fairly good. The R* creation system sucks... I would have preferred something more like the sims or saints row. With this system I just kept hitting random till I got something I could live with. I found the more I messed with an avatar switching out grandparents, the more hideous she looked. My second attempt with creating an avatar was a nightmare. I had to create her 6 times and then delete. Everytime I would create her and start the game, she looked like she had a 5 o'clock shadow.

 

And I don't dress either of them like a stripper.

If a male/female wants to play with a male, female or an Alien character, who cares? I don't. These people obviously never played a game where they controlled a female character, what's totally fine, maybe they don't like the idea, or don't see the use, but that those who have no problems with that feel free to do so. If they have a problem with people playing with characters of their opposite sex... what's next, Ethnicity? o_O
