He's doing the Hipster denial superiority complex thing and from this thread it sounds like he's played it well. I'll also admit I got tired of the WWFM DJ, but I didn't find him pretentious exactly. I just found him repetative, boring, and annoying, which is a bit of a shame as I like the music on WWFM. So much so that to begin with it was the only staton I would listen to, so maybe I just burned myself out on his dialogue? I used to listen to him on Radio 1 back in the day FWIW. The worst DJ is the one who DJ's Space 103.2. Some good tunes on there spoiled by that prick.
