gta online is dead

I've played gta online over the past few weeks far more than I should have and its been good fun. However tonight I've been on for approx 4 hours and its been dead!

 

Jumped from session to session but never more than 10 others. Found my self running after npcs and punching them to death or taking on the cops.

 

Tried races from the quick join menu and all i get is either criminal records or down the drain... boring! Down the drain will be 1 lap and criminal records 2 or 3. It's depressing...

 

Honestly can't see gta online going much further. Lasted a month was good but it's done imho.
