We know it's for fast rp but what's the rush? What are they trying to unlock which requires doing depressing races over and over. I've played on average 4 hours a day over 2-3 weeks and i got rank 131 and absolutely no grinding and more than enough time spent in free roam too so it's not like it takes long to level anyway. ..

can you explain how you even got to that level only playing 4 hours a day without grinding? it sounds like the biggest pile of bullsh*t ive ever heard

Down the drain with clean racers is actually really intense and good fun especially if the cars are even.

 

Was in a lobby with 3 randoms, me in modded Coquette this other guys in modded Elegys, over 6 races 4 of them were photo-finishes between us with splits of 1-2 tenths. Great stuff

I do races. Nearing on 280 wins. I race anything on any settings. Rally. Gta. Doesn't matter to me. I don't see it as grinding as once I'm bored of racing on a given day i stop.

I haven't done the CR/DtD grind excep for once for a friend. The only thing it helped me with was unlocks since my race record is horrible, even though it's one of my favorite modes, because I try not to do the PIT manuever but everybody does it to me anyway. Oh well.

Don't mind either track but I'd enjoy them much more if it was for more than one lap. Anything less than two or three laps is just too short to really have a serious race, IMO.

 

Gotta give some time for turnarounds.

I hate traffic because that's not how real street racing works. Every race in the rw I've been to/raced in has been on a deserted street. I've raced on the interstate a couple of times when no one else was around but just from a kick starting at like 55 to 100mph then end it. Also I've never been to a street race where where you have to go around a corner or make a turn. They are always 1/4 or somtimes 1 mile drag races depending on the road we are at. The races I've been to will have over 200 cars lined up down the street so its a big time race. Anyone who races through traffic has watched fast and furious to many times and is an idiot. Its one thing to risk my own life or the other drivers because we know the risk but a mom taking her kids home doesn't and Iwould never put anyones life in danger who wasn't involved in the race. Rockstar should have made drag races and the ability to tune your car better ie raise the boost but with that comes the risk of blowing your engine ect.

After R* nerfed payouts of Jobs the mindless horde of boosters flocked to little 1 lap tracks. Which in turn makes 90% of races nothing but silly kiddies trying to boost the cash/rp as fast as possible.

 

R* really needs to fix this as has become really annoying to find actual races to race iin. RP\Cash payouts should be based on total miles to avoid these herp a derp 1 lap races. Or increase RP/Cash payouts to be better in non races to remove these players from races.

 

Im a huge racing fan in GTA games. Sadly in GTA O I find myself quitting 90% of the lobbys I join because of these boosters farming 1 lap short tracks.

 

The best thing to do sometimes is race it.. Then hope the group votes for a new track afterwards. I love hearing the host rage when people vote for as new track.. "OMG you guys so stupid, why change the map"?

 

Why? Because I wanna race dumbass.

While I do agree they are boring due to their circle nature... I have eternal hatred towards traffic. Too many times they've prevented my fair win. Too many times they have changed lanes when I am speeding at top speed to the finish line. Too many times they have not looked at their mirrors to see if anyone is coming from behind. Too many times they have sped in front of me in an intersection.

Personally I don't see what the problem is, I can always find different races with at least 2 other people in them.

The problem is there are very few clean racers so 95% of the time these races are decided in the first few seconds when you get rammed off the track.

Minute 5 on fully upgraded Akuma and minute 8 seconds on fully upgraded entity

 

I literally drove around in free roam and memorized where every piece of cardboard spawns on that track so I would know how to avoid them. Also practiced those two turns religiously. I love that race.

Beat my time on Downtown Underground and I am impressed.

This whole issue does bother me, I've been racing a lot more than anything else in the game and really enjoy it but getting the same races over and over is just tiresome. I do still find sessions with people that want a variety of races but it does take a long time to find them, what's worse is that in the early stages of online, you would very rarely find repeat races.

 

I still enjoy Down the Drain but don't want to do it ALL the time. Every time I see Criminal Records I quit the session (I get 0% enjoyment from that race under all circumstances)

 

I'd love a filter system or something that blocks me from ever seeing Criminal Records via the quick join option, along with options to find races that have my desired options (like car class, catchup/custom status)

i´ve learned that if i wnt to have a fun race...

 

i need to host is myself... then endure the great matchmaking options rockstar gave us, so after 10mins i have a cool race with 10+

ppl , after that i gets more enjoyable if they keep with me during the votescreens

 

now a days when i get criminal records i just drive to f*ck it up for other ppl... its so gay

 

everyone is bored in gta online... but noone has done everything....

some of the races are freaking brilliant especially with traffic on, r* made some subtile scripted events

Why not give a list of available races when you select the option? Then we could choose which to join.
