Online Chars Share Garages?

If I make a 2nd character and buy another 10 car garage on him, will my two characters be able to use the cars in each others garages or do they still remain separate?

 

Part of the fun is customizing cool looking cars, but I've ran out of room for 'race' cars because of this.

Which is why we should really be able to buy a garage and an apartment. Cars are the only serious money sink that I enjoy.

It's better that way. If you want all racing cars you can have a racer character with the best race cars, then on another character you can have any different cars and bikes you want without worrying if they're the 'best' for racing.
