Suggested improvements to combat griefing

I'm sure we've all got annoyed from time to time by griefers and such, and I know this is gta and we should be able to kill other players and stuff, but things like spawncamping are just too much. Anyway, here's some ideas I've had regarding how to prevent griefing:

Extend passive mode to vehicles - It's all well and good if you can't be shot down, but all someone needs to do is get a car and they can run you down just fine.

Better protection around the mod shop - I find there are often campers who wait around the mod shop (and you can't see them on the map from inside) and if you've just sold a car worth more than $5000, it sucks when they kill you and take a cut.

More intelligent spawn camp detection - For example, if someone's killed you 5 times in less than a minute and you've not killed them back, then odds are they're spawn camping. Surely this would be easy to detect and apply bad sport to the offender.

Better tank protection - As in to stop people ramming their personal vehicles under a persons tank to force the tank driver to get bad sport and pay for the insurance. Maybe if the tank's not moving when it happens, the owner of the tank doesn't get bad sport.

Pause menu protection - Maybe when someone presses pause and hasn't fired a shot in something like 10 seconds, they get instant passive mode until they start again. That way people who are paused are still protected, but it's not an easy get-out from a gun fight.

Better in-shop protection - I'm not exactly sure how this could be made better, but if, for example, you're in ammunation then someone can stand outside and shoot you, but you can't pull out a gun when inside. Giving you invulnerability while inside would of course be OP (maybe) but I still think it's not well balanced.

Anyway, that's what I think. If you want to tell me what you think of these ideas, and if you've got any, I'd be very interested in hearing them.

All those suggestions can be ignored if they just implement a spawn option to spawn somewhere far from your death. Done simple, grieving avoided

Not all of them. Admittedly spawn camping, but it doesn't help with some suggestions, like mod shop and in-shop protection.

Well when you come out of the mod shop after spending a great deal of cash, you are invincible for a few seconds enough to get away, so maybe every exit will let you be invincible

What if the person respawns and instantly returns to attack and gets killed again? This happens a lot and it would be impossible to tell the difference. Really why should anyone get bad sport for killing an opponent in a game centered around combat?

Suggested improvements to threads about combat griefing: Learn what the word "griefing" means.

There hasn't been a single example in this thread that actually falls within the definition of griefing.

Even if all griefers are assholes, not all assholes are griefers, so using the two words synonymously is simply wrong.

What we need is like a 5 second invincibility out of a mod shop... thats all as for spawn camping thats pretty easy to avoid... If your just getting killed everytime you spawn then you obviously arent shooting the person shooting you or simply get in a car and drive away. Pause menu would be exploited soo f*cking hard so thats a dumb idea. Passive mode is stupid so never ever use it. Just go to another mod shop ffs theres only like 4 in the city people are never near the one at the airport or the one down by the docks.

u mad bro

Always wanted to say that. Your ideas if implemented would cause other problems.

Lsc isn't an issue, I've never seen players camped out at all the lscs and if they were just find a new session. Are you requesting a patch just so you don't have to drive an extra mile? Same goes for the other stores. Non issue.

Passive mode is a terrible idea and should be removed.

Tanks... well the badsport thing balances the tank out. I really don't want to constantly deal with tanks so I don't like that idea either.

That pause menu idea would get abused. Don't sit around in the pause screen. Problem solved.

Spawn locations do suck. I can agree there but I've killed some really awful players a dozen times without getting killed.

Now here is a tried and tested method for cannon fodder players: a choice allowed only once to go into non pvp lobbies permanently. Then you can play along side of other players without worrying about being killed. Hell, throw god mode in too so you never die. Sounds boring as f*ck to me but players seem to want it so let them go.

Finally! I thought I was the only one. It's usually used incorrectly.

That is a very good idea. Isn't that what the suicide option does though?

No, the suicide option puts you in a different place which is still very near to your current location.

Look we need to just have the entire city non-kill zone except for a 2x2 block area in the middle that is CLEARLY designated as combat. if you enter there, anything goes, otherwise u dont take damage. and if u died inside u get spawned outside of teh killzone away and get paid $1000 from whoever shot u. also, BOTH the person who shot u and the died person get RP.

outside of killzone basically you still have the weapons wheel and can draw on somebody but it will click like when ur out of ammo. either that or u get tagged with a paint mark. they need to add paintball guns to ammunation too.
