please let us change our crew names

Rockstar says that unfortunately there is no way to change our crew names. However I would like that feature to be added in sometime in the future. I made a bad choice on my crew name and I want to change it. Well not so much a bad choice as I like that at the time and now I don't like it and I want to change.

It will mess up their database for Crew levels and leaderboards.

How so? The crews would all be the same the names would just be different. It wouldn't be any different than changing your gamertag on Xbox Live. I might would even pay a few dollars for the option to be able to change my crew name.

Just leave your crew and you can make new one

My crew is within the top fifteen thousand and climbing plus my personal crew rank is 120 so I don't think I'm going to be disolving my crew and starting a new one.

thats like 100 levels too late for a stupid mistake

Its not that I just realized that and I already said that it wasn't a mistake. I used to like my crew name and recently decided that I wanted it to be something different. I don't see what the problem is with wanting to be able to change my crew name.

I don't understand why people are saying that its never going to happen. Rockstar can easily change this and I don't see why they wouldn't. If enough people are vocal about the subject then Rockstar would be happy to do it I'm sure.

Rockstar can't even save characters properly, trying to get them to write a script to do potentially massive database changes is asking for a lot of unnecessary problems because some kid has ADD.

Sounds like OP has a case of the K/D disease. If your crew is ranked that good.. why would you want to change it? Just make a new crew and climb the boards again.. if you're truly that good.

Did you really think that trying to insult me with totally necessary? And yes I do have ADD but I am 30 years old with a wife two children of my own a house and two cars and an acre of land. You really ought to grow up and learn to be a decent human being.

Dude I don't give a crap about my kill death ratio. I just want to change my crew name because I don't like it anymore and I want it to be something different.

So if you think 50,000 is a good deal to whine about here and not use your brain to understand that adding such feature will mess up the data base, well you can shut the f*ck up maybe

No I said you are insulting me because you called me a child when I am clearly not a child according to you I'm five years older than you are. And the way that you said it was obviously in an insulting manner. If your belief that I am a child is based solely upon my grammar and punctuation you can blame that on the voice recognition software in my phone.

Why don't you grow up and learn how to speak without using foul language. Maybe then people will actually take what you say into consideration. I can tell you right now that there's nothing classy or sophisticated about the way that you speak.

LOL. No, it was gonna be the 3rd Street Saints, but the name/s was taken so I had to abbreviate it kinda wierd.

Id weigh up the benefits and losses dude. If your already doing ok in rankings then stick with it and carve out a reputation for yourselves name be damned. Or change and work your way up again. To be honest though people pay very little attention to the names of any crew but their own on the leaderboard. Id restart and see how it goes if it were me and I was unhappy with the name. As far ad I cam see all the benefits from crews are is getting a little bit more points on missions and being able to spot each other on the map in free roam. Oh and thanks for not taking my joke badly, so many people here without a sense of humor

So no one would like to have the ability to change their crew name? I guess if no one else has anything to add to the conversation then I'll let it end. If there's a way for me to close my own thread, which I'm not sure that there is, if you could let me know so that I can do that I would be grateful.
