My idea for the use of JP

What I’ve noticed is that people are levelling up to over 200 and getting insane amounts of cash which is leading to people becoming bored. So my friend and I began to think if they can’t offer money and they can’t offer experience what will keep players coming back for more and more and more. What would initiate the replaying of missions over and over and over again much like dungeons in world of warcraft.

 

My friend had the excellent idea of using the JP as currency for exclusive missions/heists.

 

Think of it this way – they create a small story where Gerald or some other character gets killed by some large drug cartel and your tasked with revenge against the murderers. This is a 15 mission story and each mission would be incredibly difficult, I'm talking 1 to 2 hours to complete. One would start let’s say with a 7 round survival which would turn into a car chase around the city and end with blowing up a factory or something. To request this mission you would need to spend 200 JPS for example (let’s say most people have 100). If you complete the mission you are rewarded with 1.5x JPS so 300 JPS and access to the next mission and a custom decal or visual stimulant like a golden 9mm that shows you completed that mission. But if you fail… you would LOSE all 200 JPS spent on that mission. EACH TIME meaning you would have to go back to regular missions and grind for more JPS just to retry that story mission. I understand this may lead to frustration but let’s think about day-z for example where it implements Permadeath. People are much more careful and cautious when playing to avoid the hassle of dying and restarting. It completely changes the way we play. I believe we would approach the story missions with this same mentality to not lose our hard earned JP! We would call our friends and set up an evening with only the best skilled players so that we have a better chance of success. We would organize heists carefully and do planning to avoid losing hard earned points.

 

Another feature could be pooling jp together with your crew to gain access to missions. Anyways as you complete each mission they would require more and more JP and offer better rewards such as a golden car or something money can’t buy. Like the second to last mission could be raiding Gerald’s killers compound of exotic IMPORTED cars. None of these would be available in the catalog or on the streets but only obtained by completing this mission and stealing the specific imported car you wanted.

 

I have a lot of idea like this and would be happy to share more – what do you guys think of this one?

JP will be used for heist. You must have a certain amount of JP to do a specific Heist. JP already has a purpose

They`d better fix the lobby splitting when going to free roam from some mission and JP reset first. Over ONE patch, ideally...

That's what you think it'll be used for. Currently, the only purpose JP holds is to decide a playlist winner. It's anyones guess if it'll be used for heists, though.

That's what you think it'll be used for. Currently, the only purpose JP holds is to decide a playlist winner. It's anyones guess if it'll be used for heists, though.

 

It's a pretty safe bet.
