Are you kidding me with this accuracy?

Despite the idiots who try and flex their e penis about certain situations, that mission, boat in the bay, can be a pain in the ass.

Its best to get in the boat, spawn the chopper, retreat to shore with cover, wait for the chopper to come within range, and take it down. Rest of the mission is fairly straight forward.

My only gripe, is that on auto aim, [of which people seem to think this is some triple A title fps shooter] is that the enemy seems to have the same massive lockon limit regardless of what weapon they are using.

Countless times I stol a vehicle from the Ballas for Simeon as a low level, I could be 3 blocks ahead of their chase vehicles, but could still see bullets hitting the glass, and rear hatch area where I was sitting, or just plain sniped with a pistol from 200 yds away. If they could have been bothered to code in bullet drop, like they coded in this over exaggerated air turbulence, this wouldnt be a problem.

You just don't get the point why I made this topic at all, and if you haven't yet, it's unlikely you will. So we'll just have to agree that we disagree. (for Vooodu)

If you are doing a job with a boat vs helipcopter chase.. Stop the boat and have everyone shoot it with sniper rifles till it explodes.... In car chases, just slow donw and kill the bastards if you can't handle outrunning them,

I play free aim. I always play jobs and jobs are always packed.. So what ever. They are pretty accurate, but the are pretty balanced in terms of what WE can do back to them.

I find the AI in free aim more realistic, still very accurate but it does seem that you have more of a fighting chance that in AA

Has anyone on the dev team ever tried to fire a real gun before?

I seriously doubt it, as the firearms in any game Rockstar has ever made...have always been pretty horrible and unrealistic.

And that is why we call it, a "video game".

While the accuracy of the npcs gets pretty ridiculous at times, it should be toned down a LITTLE bit, but not too much, I mean, we don't want it to be too easy.

Maybe I did miss the point. And maybe you missed mine too.

When I read you would rather use auto aim instead of dealing with the AI you kind of went in wrong direction for my tastes..

I think that the problem is not so much that we need to be able to outgun them, but actually outsmart them (I know right, outsmart the f*cking AI?). Many complaints have also arisen about how the cops have become more smart and actually use tactics against us players. What they are doing is what we would do in their shoes: Shoot at the enemy when in sight, even if you miss because you'll hit them eventually. That, in my mind, is what the AI enemies are doing. It is actually quite hilarious to hear over the mic These f*cking cops!!! as people get pwned by them.

One thing this game does is force you to use tactics. You can't just barge in and blast everything in sight, or accelerate your vehicle out of the cops range and lose them that way. You have to think, use stealth more than loud approaches, etc.

Now, I am not saying that the AI do not infuriate me at times, but I am saying that R* has given us a challenge that some of us had asked for.

Except for this isn't Dead Space or Deus Ex...they could at least put a little thought into how the weapons function and also stop naming them (and the cars) retarded things.

FasterThanYou

As someone said before, less AI accuracy, no health regen for player, and no cheap AI spawning would have made for an equally challenging game but far more balanced and enjoyable.

I know what mission you are talking about, any my story was similar. The helicopter was approaching so I stopped the boat and started shooting at the heli. Before I could take one gunman that moving helicopter took me out with laser precision.
I respawned on the shore, and the helicopter was nearby. I peaked out of the rock for like 2 seconds, managed to land about 4 shots on the heli before I got killed by a headshot.

The accuracy is indeed f*cked up and it pisses me off

Each car isn't based on 1 specific car, so they can't name them after real cars, then they have the issues that arise with companies should they choose to name them after real cars, R* just doesn't have the rights for it.

No this isn't Dead Space or Deus Ex, but it's still a video game. You want something close to realism, you got the wrong field.

Oh don't get me wrong, I didn't expect them to do any differently in GTA V than they have in the previous releases. Hell, Red Dead had the same problem.

Go in free mode into the army base in free aim and then you will see how op the shooting for ai is. Those military soldiers can head shot you in cover from like across the base with their m4's i think its ridiculous but i guess they are military after all.. But helicopters i find are the worst. If your out of cover for like 5 seconds in survival with a heli it will 2 shot you in the face before you even have time to draw up your gun. Then other times you can just blast at it for a good solid minute without it even shooting you.

The military being good on the ground doesn't bother me. They're the military, they don't f*ck around. They've got those assault rifles and they know how to use them. Even though some shots are unbelievable, I tend to think of them as the game's "elite" enemies, same as NOOSE, so I accept that I should, by all means, be dead if I get cornered by a battalion of soldiers. However, it goes a little overboard when the same accuracy is applied to random hood gangsters, stickup crews and every single low ranking cop in the game.

The accuracy from moving vehicles is, however, another matter.

OP Puts mission on hard. Complains when it's hard.

Glad to see another person assuming things about me that I never said. No, I don't put missions on hard, I keep them on normal. However, in the times that I did put it on hard, I didn't notice an increase in enemy's accuracy. But that's probably because it's already super good on medium.

Exactly...and yet in GTA V we get these fictional makes/models of cars that everybody has to argue over which it actually is, when it's just a mashup of 2 or 3 different ones.

No but thats pretty much how the aiming is for all the npcs in the game with an assault rifle. It should be based around skill of npc like gang members suck at shooting then police a bit better then army as the best. But it seems like its more based around the weapons and random bullsh*t headshots.

Sorry bro, I just assumed because you're dying so fast based on what you're saying. Either way, even on normal the game can be difficult sometimes. I don't really have an issue with it as I've been picked off fairly fast too many times. I've just become accustomed to making sure I'm not in the line of fire now as a result.

Body armor helps too, if you've got none it doesn't take much to die in this game. Even a simple car crash can end you. If you run into a problem in the game and keep doing the same thing, my advice is to stop doing that and try something else. I'm not trying to be smart either but thinking that way has helped me a lot in the past with many games.

From what I've seen.. One Good players is more OP then a whole group of AI.

And a group of good players will totally wipe the floor with HUGE group of AI in seconds.

Ya, sure the AI can be a pain. But if they make it any easier this game would be simple.

The only problem there is, not all police are SWAT and not all military are Special Forces. They both suck a lot more at shooting in real life than they do in this game, that's for damn sure.

much difficult, many realism.

For everyone who's comparing how big their dicks are and how MLG they are, here's one for you. This video literally sums up everything you're doing right now.

Most are t00 h4rdc0r3 to agree, but the police are indeed greatly overpowered. They are horrible overpowered, they have crazy range and good damage and are all out unrealistically strong.

That doesn't mean you can't kill them, though. I have literally no problems with them in missions or free roam, other than when we're having massive deathmatches in LSC or something, for some reason you get an instant 1 star and a "flash-screen" so you can't go into LSC or anything.

Except this isn't real life, its a game.

And if they nerfed the AI the game would be easy. Im just sayin'.

I have yet to have any problems with any missions when playing with good players. Id like to think that's the standard bar. So it makes sense to me to keep it as is.

When I play alone or with not so good players.. Then it becomes very difficult. Which is exactly what I want.

I think they should just increase the amount of health that the players have and the amount of damage that the armor can take instead of reducing AI accuracy.
