Auto-Lock Issues.

The last few days while playing online I have not been able to lock onto other players. I lock onto all NPC's around then but not the player shooting at me. They are closer than the NPC's. I am curently at Lvl 94. I am wandering if auto-lock gets dissabled when battling players of lower rank.

Autolock does work on lower ranked players. Kept locking onto a crew mate that was using his Lvl 8 character.

it should lock on to the nearest player not the damn cops or peds... really R*

The auto aim seems to lock onto anything but the player you're trying to aim at.

 

Switching it off helps solve this issue and it'll help to improve your aim over time. You'll also get used to engaging people outside the auto aim range which will give you the upper hand.

^ This. Got oowned the first few times trying to snipe people in free aim, only to find out that everyone over here can shoot. Lol. Go to free aim, much better dogfights
