Is $2,147,483,647 the maximum amount of money?

This just happened to me, yea the max money you can have is $2.41 billion. This is also true with stock unit. What I had to do is store my money in large stocks like Bleeter ($3,198) or Bawsaq will break.

I call BS.. were you losing on some stocks? my LCN stocks RARELY fluctuate. Even on a success you'd be lucky to get 12%.

 

You must have played 100 days straight to hit max money, with only 60k start up.

 

Plus Bawsdaq is down.

before doing and turning in stock on the Final Lester Mission eh?

 

Or... does GCD stock stay at its max value? (then I can sell back part of the stock at my leisure).

 

Now that Bawasdaq is down, it's probably a good place to store extra money lol.

 

I should find out exactly how much I need to put in to get back 2.2 billion, invest only that much. Put the rest in bawsdaq,

then cash out on my stocks. Leaving me with max money again in my account, and that leftover money in bawsdaq. hmmm.

2147483647 is the maximum money because if it gets over that, the number becomes negative. Rockstar made it so if it gets negative it gets back to 2147483647.

Same in Flappy bird, if you get over 2147483647, it'll show "0" and you won't get score.

Even since biggest 64-bit number is MUCH more than that, rockstar made that limit.

What I find stupid is that GTA Online doesn't have that limit. Noone will ever legitimately get above $2,147,483,647, let alone $9,223,372,036,854,775,807 for the 64-bit limit, in GTA O yet singleplayer gets the money cap.

I have done this glitch and my money earned says -$2.1billion

 

I wonder if you go over $2,147,483,647 in multiplayer, would you end up with negative billions any your character is ruined forever.

The stocks fluctuate between 2 values. So I'm assuming he just bought them whilst they where near their lowest value and sold when they eventually went back into profit.

Ok so, I know the thread is over 2 years old from the last post but, just assuming I do the stock market manipulation right since I just recently learned that if you save Lester's assassination missions until after beating the game, is this 2.147 bil cap/glitch thing still a concern? I'm playing on a PS4 FYI. I guess I got no problem with starting the game over again if I cause a paradox in the space/time continuum by accumulating more money than you should but, I'm just curious if this was/is only and older console problem. Thanks.

I just played the hotel assassination mission and even though you don't make a whole lot on that one obviously because your players have far-less money at that point-- well, if you play the game the normal way, I was still able to turn Franklin's 200 thousand or so into a cool 545 thousand after following the directions I found. I wasn't able to invest any of Michaels money or Trevor's money because I learned the hard way that you need to switch to the other players and invest properly... BEFORE... you drive Franklin to Lester there by beach and start discussing the mission because once you start that little dialog movie thing between Franklin and Lester, you can't switch to the other players to do their investing until after you complete the mission as Franklin.

 

Kinda sucks tho because my Michael has a little over 700 thousand so, if the profit was what it was with Franklin, hell I coulda probly got Michael well up over a million with his profit. Trevor wouldn't have had much benefit because in my game right now, he only has like, 20 thousand.

Lol. There's a big difference between how you play games today and how they were played almost 20 years ago.

 

But anyways, even if your method on an X-Box 1 works on a PS4, what's the complete rundown of instructions of how to do all that? Besides, what update patches are you referring to that prevents getting money into the billions so early into the gameplay?

2:De install the game.

Take out disk

Unplug the internet.

Insert disk, how patches are gone.

Use LCN-Change average change. Go crazy to make 2.1 or whatever you desire.

Do it to all 3 characters .

Save again ( using phone )

plug the game & patches & updated, all the Beautiful flowers of gta online provides. lol!!!

And you got your cash.

Buy garages, Golf course, T-20, helipad, clothes and most importantly, GUNs. Be selective. Too many is useless, IMO.

 

Don't know about PS4. Sorry man.

As for Nintendo love classics, I use to own a PS, I still own the first Xbox. Still have Vice City, San Andreas. All the classics. Ppl nowadays just care about online, which is F'N great. But I never, ever played gtao. Instead of violence which I imagine they do, it's all about dress up, make up, shoe size, does your character take a crap, he or she showers. Seriously? F#%^k that. That's my opinion, If ppl have fun, awesome. I see your new. Just have fun, play & learn it all. It took me several times to fully understand.

I'm deeply sorry I can't help any further. I'm currently played no TBOGT on XB1, it rules.

Ok, you lost me after instructing to uninstall the game from the console after completing the mission with the life invader device thing.

 

I get it that the update patches messes with a lot of things but how are you able to continue on with the game from your save point after removing the game completely from the console and reinstalling it?? Seems to me that all progress would be lost and starting completely over is what would be the end result after uninstalling.

 

Second, when you reinstall the game and continue on with the story after having all the update patches removed, what exactly are the patches preventing? In other words, how are you making that kind of dough so early in the game? What are you doing/investing in?...lol.

Thank you. Yeah, a while after posting that, I finally found and read where it said that this was a game thing and not a console thing.

 

Don't matter tho, since the stock market return percentages have been greatly reduced in the later game versions for the newer consoles from what it was when and couple years after it came out, I doubt any of my boys' bank accounts will ever see that much money anyways. lol. From what it sounds like I'd be very, very lucky to break a billion. And that's even spending the absolute bare minimum to rack up the most before you start investing.

 

Which reminds me CesarCorona, that thing that you and me was taking about, probably ain't gonna work on my game because my Blu-ray disk probably has all them update patches on it already that don't need to be downloaded and installed later.

Oh I know, I'm not saying I want the max money, as a matter of fact, I was just more/less wondering if it was perhaps an "older game" thing just in case if I did do everything right and made that much, someday being at risk messing things up if I ever was able to accumulate that much money.

 

Hey, by the time I finish the story again, with more than twice as much for my characters that I had the first time, I'll be happy. I can't remember but one other property other than the golf course pays in excess of quarter-mil a week. Lol.

 

Now, if the creators of GTA 5 would allow purchasing of other houses, that would be different....lol. After beating the game the first time, I was really hoping to be able to get Trevor outta that damn worn out, junky travel trailer. Lol.

rockstar thinking only for Online is the point here, you buy apartments only there (i don't play online though) and even this thing is half assed i 've heard, rockstar messed up since gta 4, no houses to buy, only getting some permanent places for free by shady ways and thats it...
