Shooting tyres?

tire means-

reduce th energy of, as by exertion; weary or bore.

 

tyre means-

rubber ring, usu. inflated, over the rim if a vehicles wheel to grip the road.

We're all speaking english here?

Why does it not supprise me, that English again never stops confusing people.

Well accualy Tire is correct(for both), its the same word but two different meanings.

 

tire (2)   (tr)

n.

1. A covering for a wheel, usually made of rubber reinforced with cords of nylon, fiberglass, or other material and filled with compressed air.

2. A hoop of metal or rubber fitted around a wheel.

 

tire (1)   (tr)

v. tired, tir·ing, tires

v. intr.

1. To grow weary.

2. To grow bored or impatient.

 

Thats English-English and/or American-English for you  :pp
