I've ran into randoms standing still and nothing. They don't throw anything at me or shoot me. This is just one encounter, not everyone will kill you if you're being cool.

What do YOU do when you see someone standing still/idle? I tend to just go up to him/her and just wait casually. But then before you know it, they just throw a sticky bomb... I fail to see how that is "funny" or what good that did.

You don't need to be on their friend's list or anything.

Just don't be so trusting, that's why you're getting shot up by randoms. I always approach randoms with the back of my Entity pointed towards them, and out of sticky bomb range so they can't kill me even if they go hostile.

Besides, this is how I play in free roam:

Mess around without killing a single person. Go up to people and if they kill me, I kill them over & over for being such ruthless assholes. I guess you can say I initiated it by standing there looking at them but that is a funny excuse.

You don't. You have to actually send a request or get a message from that person to join their session.

I agree with you 100% nexoric. These griefers are just a bunch of cowards. Its spineless to attack someone who is defensless. If I have a bounty on me, have one of Simeon's imports or killed you before in the past then I have no problem with you attacking me but if I'm idle, on pause or hell just driving by then wtf? Kill for a purpose at least. Ive been killed right after a mission by the very ppl I just did the mission with. lol I only kill ppl who attack me 1st and I damn sure don't kill ppl who are paused or idle. I just roll on by bcuz thats weak.

Exactly. That seems to be the nature of multiplayer games with guns. I can't even see the point of logging into a multiplayer virtual environment with random misfits from the internet.
