Packages (please help unconfuse me)

I have heard a rumor that everytime you cheat one secret pacakge disappeers. Is this true and if it is  is it when your playing a mission and you cheat or is it at any time in the game? I haven't cheated during any missions but i have just for fun when just playing around,will this cause me to not be able to find all the packages? If so, that would really suck. Thanks!

i totally doubt that would happen. some guy has been posting that hes at 99 and cant find the last one because he cheated when in fact he probably was using a guide and just cant find the last one because he thinks he already got it. i would not believe this at all, after all cheating already lowerd your ratng alot so why add another punishment

This sounds suspiciously like a lie, but I can't tell you.  I wouldn't put it past those devious SOB's at Rockstar to have a nasty little penalty for cheating... and they'd be right to do it.

Thanks for the info. I have one question for Turgon, how much does cheating lower my rating and did it only lower it when in missions? cause for some reason i must have not noticed it when i cheated when playing just for fun lol. Thanks

it depends on how many cheats your using at once i think, try it out put in a few codes and just make sure you dont save it. i read somehwre on this forum that a guy had it down to like -9000 and his rank was "total liar" heheh. also saw one that was round about -2000 and his rank was "hacker". so give it a try see how bad you can get it.
