Shenmue18
Honestly the look kinda resembles more of a luxury car then a muscle car, at least to me. Still looks cool but not very muscle car like.

GunWrath
Damn, that looks so much better than last few years. Though it has a Dodge look to me. Edited October 31, 2013 by GunWrath
sivispacem
Dull as dishwater. Looks Korean. Given it's a C&D render, we can safely assume that it's going to look nothing like that, as they never do. RoadRunner71
I don't like the C pillar and the rear. It looses there a big part of the muscle car esence and resemble more an european sport car. The front looks good, though.

sivispacem
C&D in "getting something vaguely right" shocker. Front lights from a sleepy Mitsubishi Colt, front grille from a Fiat Punto, rear lights from a 1980s manga comic, fake rear diffuser, fake front splitter, and all the poise and grace of a frozen turd. Mind you, the last few generations of Mustang have all looked pretty sh*te, but this is quite something else. Carlover325
I've never been a big fan of the Mustang, and this one is no different. I've never understood putting a 6-cylinder in a muscle car, kind of defeats the purpose of the "muscle". But now a 4-cylinder? I know it's a turbo, but still... darthYENIK
I've never been a big fan of the Mustang, and this one is no different. I've never understood putting a 6-cylinder in a muscle car, kind of defeats the purpose of the "muscle". But now a 4-cylinder? I know it's a turbo, but still... It's supposed to be a sporty family car. Obviously if you want it to be a muscle car you can get a bigger engine in the GT, but the average priced Mustang's target demographic is the young family. A car that mom or dad can buy when they are single, and still have fun driving when they have a kid or two in the back seat. Unless it has that bigger engine, to me it's just a small station wagon. As for the new model. I liked it more when they were more square. I guess that's just the cycle of the Mustang. The originals had the 60s square look. In the 80s they got more streamlined. In the 90s they rounded them off. Then last decade they went back to the square look, and now they're coming back around to the rounded look. Sup3rman
Yea, i think what is happening here is like it happened way back in the 70s. The Mustang got big and uglier. There are details i really like, but then again the bodyshape is so wrong. The cabrio is completely f*cked up.
BM92
Why GOD!!?? Why they f*cked the stang up?? There are details i really like, but then again the bodyshape is so wrong. The cabrio is completely f*cked up. I`m guessing you are forgetting the Mustang II, which was the Mustang that became smaller. It also was based off of the Pinto, and it wasn't that good of a car. Also it looked weird. Then you got the Fox Bodies, which where also pretty damn ugly at first. Finally you had the first Sn95,which were the last mustangs before the retro look. First one is pretty meh looking and the second one is something I would drive. I can safely say, there have been 4 gens of mustang that were pretty bad looking. Size had nothing to do with it. This new Mustang is them trying to blend retro looks with the current Ford design language. And it just doesn't work. This is all based on my opinions, so they do vary. ryuclan
Not a fan of this iteration. Its just a kitted up Fusion. I'll have to see it in person but honestly I'm not digging it whatsoever. People will buy it but I Dont see this design style lasting too long.
GoldenBlade
Ford is definitely headed in a new direction with the Mustang. I'm not too fond of their idea myself. Imo, the car looks great, but it just doesn't fit as a Mustang. It looks more like a luxury car. The Mustang's body style has been changed way too much. ddyoung
Sorry for the bump, but I'd rather post in an old relevant topic than start a new one. Anyways, I've seen a few of the new Mustangs around, and I must say, they do look pretty good. I wasn't a fan of them at first, but in person they're much better looking. Dottie
I have seen them since '14 and I like them. It combines the muscle look with modern aerodynamics and styling quite well. Better than most cars. And it still kept the pony car styling too Edited February 22, 2015 by Winning001
