Why is the WORST Off-Road Vehicle the Police Car?

The police car has to be WITHOUT A DOUBT the VERY WORST possible Off-Road vehicle. Want proof? Kill a cop in the desert and steal his police car, then try to escape the 3 Star Wanted level, never leave the desert, never get on the road. If you can escape a 3 star wanted level on desert off-road terrain, with sand dunes, cactus, rocks, uneven terrain, then you are a GTA God and should win a medal for it.

You know why? Because it's not an off-road vehicle. Steal the Sheriff SUV though and it's an entirely different story.

Tell that to the A.I :p

I was riding up a hill on the sanchez, struggling to move over peaks and all of a sudden they come up the hill in the cruiser that i can barely get up, fly over the jump and knocked me off from behind, before shooting me while i'm getting up.

Made me laugh, but the suv isn't that impressive anyway vs the cruiser.

Oh come on, there are loads of vehicles that are " not off road vehicles" that handle ok in the desert. The dude was just pointing out that the cop car was the worst, no need to be a dick about it. I am now determined to loose 3 stars off road in a cop car Yoshak Fyre , sounds like a good personal challenge.

Who's being a dick about it? Police cruisers are not AWD, and they are also pretty heavy cars...all that adds up to a pretty sh*tty off-road vehicle. And just because you can lose 3 stars in it doesn't make it one either.

All sarcasm aside, did it ever cross your mind that this was by deliberate R* dev design? In order for players to counter the new hyper-aggressive police AI which they deliberately put on permanent bull shark testosterone? So that you could use it to your advantage as an efficient way to lose any wanted level?

To the best of my knowledge, off roading appears to be the quickest way to lose any wanted level to date. Because while high rise buildings are effective at breaking the chopper's line of sight, the city streets are not as effective in preventing the dispatcher's cross triangulation of your location. So the off road/mountainous terrain is the most effective way to break the cops line of sight (including choppers) while denying the police cruisers AI a direct path/road to cross triangulate your location.

Because TBH, if the police had a super aggressive AI AND cop cars with the traction/handling of a patriot/SUV or dirt bike, we'd all be royally f*cked--both in SP and online........

And this forum would be drowned in spam complaint threads about how much the police AI sucked, had to be toned down etc. etc.

I will give it a go . No need to bow though, you probably wouldn't want to get too close to these feet !
