flyingcloud11
Well as it turns out, a lot of Android devices seem to be incompatible with the recent release of Rockstar's iFruit/Manual App. Well I'm going to help you out and install this app, because I was one of those looking forward into customizing my plates and training Chop (yes I'm a sad little man). With that being said, I bring you a How To guide on installing the apps on Incompatible Android Devices. NOTE: If the app runs slow, that's due to the device itself. Download all necessary files. 10/28/13 (Release Version) 10/28/13 (Release Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 10/28/13 (Release Version) 10/28/13 (Release Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) 11/1/13 (Latest Version) Before you start, you may want to uninstall any previous attempts of installing this app. So Delete the app if you have it installed just to be sure. This step is optional, but if you can't connect your phone via USB you can download the App AirDroid (which is free and awesome). What this app does, is allow you to connect via a wireless connection to a remote server allowing you to do the same things you could do if the device was connected via USB plus more. Step 1: Once you have ALL the files necessary downloaded, it's time to connect your phone to your computer via USB or AirDroid. I'll be using AirDroid for this. Step 2: Launch AirDroid by clicking this LINK and either make an account or use an existing one (this is required for the service to connect) Step 3: Navigate to the Apps folder as seen in this image. Step 4: From there you want to install the APK file(s) you downloaded. To do that you will see a blue button on the top right corner of the newly opened window (Apps). Click Install and it will open a new window where you will locate the APK file. Step 5: Open the file and you should see an install progress bar. Wait for it to finish and it will notify you to validate the install by going to your phone. From here you you will probably see two ways to verify the install. A Google option or the default one (I went and chose the default one) Step 6: Now with that app installed, you can go back and move the last files you've downloaded to their respective folder. Step 7: Navigate to your root storage on your phone (usually called sdcard/sdcard0) from there navigate to the "android" folder. This is where you'll see two folders if not one. One called "data" and another one called "obb". If you do not see an "obb" folder simply make one, all lowercase. Step 8: Move the folder "com.rockstargames.gtavmanual" and "com.rockstargames.ifruit" assuming you want both the iFruit and Manual working to the newly created "obb" folder. Once those files have been moved. You may now close AirDroid or remove your connected phone. Run the app and it should now be working. McDodge34
The size of the program clearly tells me what it is in reality, this is a straight IOS version of the app, with a big emulator running under it, so that's why its incompatible with all the phones except perhaps 1 model that was used by the developpers to test it, I had to install it your way on my Galaxy S2 HD LTE and its running Android 4.0.4 already which is quite a common android version. We can't flip the phone, makes it a lot more obvious this is a IOS version too. And thanks to google team, we now have to get a crappy Google+ account to review anything on google play store, screw you google...

hoboninja
Why the f*ck is the file an .exe & not an apk? Seems dodgy to me. Which one? I never got a chance to download the files from the OP because the mirrors were too overburdened but I pulled the files from my Galaxy Nexus and rar'd them up for my upload, there is the iFruit.apk and a /com.rockstargames.ifruit directory containing the obb file main.61.com.rockstargames.ifruit.obb Edit: Looking at the "joined 19 hours ago" I assume the OP nevermind... Wiskyeye
After installing several times thinking I must have done it wrong or something I still get this message everytime I open the app. Progress bar opens and never moves then this message pops up"Downloading application failed" then a message appears in status bar "Download failed because you may not have purchased this app" I have HTC Amaze 4G running 4.0.1 OS. Please help me get this working if you know a work around for the noncompatable error BS!

Chal13
Here's how I got around compatibility issue. Download market helper (needs root) and change your phone to Samsung galaxy s3. Then go to http://m.tech2.com/how-to/software/how-to-download-apps-from-google-play-directly-to-your-pc/623042 on you pc and click download. From there go to playstore on PC and find ifruit and download, next place the apk on you SD card, find the apk through phone and install and your done. Please note that market helper does not need to be used but the PC download requires you to use your playstore login details and android I'd which is pretty sensitive information. By using market helper it changes your actual android I'd (I think) so at least with the full method above your not handing out all Ur sensitive info, just email and password for playstore (you can change your password before or after process to feel safer....that's what I did). It does sound dodgey due to the information you need to use but read around for reviews and you'll see it legit. Hope this helps and have fun

mdniterder
I still say it is sad we have to do this just to make it work. I also find it odd I emailed Rockstar about this and they have said nothing, usually I get an answer fairly quick from them, I hope this means they are working on it. flyingcloud11
Thanks but that sh*tty app.box doesn't work and your dropbox links from another forum don't work either. I can't do anything about that besides either upload it to a foreign upload site, these free public ones disable downloads if it gets an overload on traffic. But thanks to hobo for providing a mirror hosted on his server.
