Online Is Just Missing That 'GTA' For Me

Before I start, this isnt a rant thread. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing GTA 5 Online & Single Player. I just feel it could still be improved.

 

In Story Mode, I did feel that criminal theme where I led the life of a criminal and had an insight to the world of crime. It felt well put together and I just couldnt wait for what online had to offer. I believed that Online would carry over the great things of story mode but you could also now play with your friends, making the experience even better.

 

Online is great imo but I just dont really feel that 'GTA' theme that I did in story mode. Earning money seems far too methodical and wishy-washy for a game based around crime. I know there has to be a system in which different players experience different things and people can work up to owning the high-end goods, but the fact that people are spending hours re-doing little races and taking part in boring missions, doesn't cut it for me. If a player spend hours on a game trying to work his way up then yes he should have a more high-end experience than players who only play a couple of hours a week.

 

I am really enjoying GTA Online and obviously R* are working on various DLCs which will hopefully enhance the Online experience for the better. But I just feel that they have tried to cram too much together and have maybe forgotten what GTA is all about. I'd rather take part in a complex and thrilling mission than play a stranger in a rather rushed game of tennis.

 

Anyone else feel this or is it just me?

And I know it isnt entirely fair but this glitching and modding is closer to what GTA should be tbh. People are maybe just trying to bring that cheating and tactics into a game which is lacking just that.

this is the problem to many glitchers out there that makes so bad they need to reset any one who has car duped E.G tow truck and doe any of the cash glitches more than any thing else.

Car Lover I completely agree, I've put way too many hours into gtao already it's just aso fun haha

 

@iTiggerzzHD I think the glitchhing and cheating should stay in single player, so it doesn't influence anyone else's experience.

I've played GTA Online for over 250 hours, so I'm going to have to disagree with you.

Well, GTAO doesn't really have any story, it's just random missions, dm, racing, and other random things. Could be what's missing for you.

Theres too much emphasis on money and rank, instead of just having fun. There are alot of activites but most of them are vacant, unless you have a friend or crew member to play with. Ive still yet to be able to even play tennis and alot of races that arent the popular ones are always solo races cause nobody joins or is even hosting them. I appreciate theres alot of different activites and missions but it spreads the game population very thin. Esp when you have alot of people just trying to rank up and cash in on the same activity.

The could do with adding a simpler free roam similiar to GTA4 where you had weapon pickups everywhere and you could turn off cops or friendly fire,etc.
