"500 missions"

I'm guessing that, by "missions", they meant not just co-op story missions, but also competitive team missions, survival, death-matches, races, parachuting, etc.

 

Because there is no way that 500 actual missions are actually in online, I'm in level 51 and have already been seeing way too many repeated missions from the start.

What ever is classified as a mission is a missions so LTS those team based coop missions and the character missions

500 missions includes missions from updates such as the Beach Bum pack and heists.

Maybe they haven't released all of them yet. They haven't released a lot of the stuff they said they would yet.

Why are you so surprised? Its just like the single player... Most of the missions are just rehashed older missions with new characters and locales.

 

Chase/find somebody > kill that person > take the briefcase/documents/car > deliver said goods = $$$$

We need less 1-2 player missions and more missions that are for 2-6 people. Those are actually fun and require teamwork (if you dont want to solo rush it rambo, auto-aim style).

 

Heists can't come soon enough.

Eh, they've been doing that since the first GTA, nothing new here.

 

Each GTA has a certain number of unique missions, with variations on the theme, GTAO could maybe of done with more unique missions, and i'm sure we'll get them at some point, but to me it just feels like a typical GTA game so far (i'm up to level 75 now).

why stop at 6 people? I thought this was supposed to be an MMO. Why not 16 player missions where you have to take out the entire fort or something really crazy. Gotta have people doing all kinds of different things to win the mission, shooters, drivers, pilots, and so on.

A lot of people keep responding with "this includes the updates," but initially that was not what was said. All articles/reviews that I read said it was 500-700 missions, with 500 on launch and 200 to come.

That would be epic, full crew session missions. I'm only lvl 37 and have seen 6 person missions as the most so far.

Yes, by missions, RockStar is talking about every activity you can do on the map including races, parachuting, golf, tennis, etc... There is nowhere near 500 "missions". Maybe 100, but I doubt it.

There's currently about 100 NPC missions and 16 PVP missions. There are about 240 races/deathmatch/parachuting/survival jobs. Add in gang attacks and various activities you can do in free roam to make money/RP and you probably have about 400 total activities in GTA online. It would seem they didn't launch with the number of missions they were expecting.

 

Really hope there are new NPC missions coming soon as they are my favourite.
