Re-installing error.

Okay basically my game restarts sometimes when I enter races and I get the error of "replace your storage device and re-install your game" . Note this only happens at the moment in start of a race .. However I dont wanna do anything just yet incase anything goes wrong, And if I re-install disc 1 , will I lose my multiplayer profile? Any help is appreciated , thanks
