Will R* punish for car duping?

It's actually possible to accidentally 'dupe' cars though.

 

If I'm driving my car and the passenger decides to start up a job for themself, what they then do with my car in their game isn't in my control.

 

The right thing to do is fix the glitch and issue no bans.

Yes, they will ban people. And not with the conservative hammer either, they will use the ban cannon instead, just for this special occasion.

I would think the insurance would still show up on your bank transactions list. Making for an easy spot.

It doesn't do any real hard in terms of advantage against other players so i'd say no but who knows

They apparently said they removed the bug that duplicated cars in their previous patch notes.

Guess not lmao.

No one knows, but if they do ban people with duped vehicles than thats like 90% of the community.

Most they'll do is remove it from your garage with a warning.

We'll have to wait and see.

I dont think its necessary to ban or even punish the dupers, the cars doesnt give any advantage other than exclusivity, just because someone had a Space Docket in his garage doesnt mean he's becoming invincible or a badass

I can see them either not doing anything but banning the hackers and removing the cars like space docker, cop cars and jets in players garages.. . . or... just banning hackers and removing planes from garage leaving the duped vehicles.

Now for level grinding/money abuse? ohhh whole another story.

I have removed both of my duped vehicles (thanks to those who got me them anyway)

I like them but I feel like if R* did punish people not having them in my garage anymore might save me.

I hope they just remove the cars if they do punish people (and I think this is what will happen, being glitching money you'd normally have to pay for through cash cards is a whole different thing)

Ban for duping vehicles? Very unlikely. They will probably just take them away and slap your peepee and tell you to not do it again.

Rockstar could ban the people who hacked the game to get many of these cars like space docker and Franklin's Buffalo in to begin with, but I doubt they will ban everyone who has one of these in their garage.
