brown screen please help?

so my console just wen onto a brown screen with lines when playing GTAV and now I cant turn it back on at all what is wrong?

If I have any knowledge at all at these kind of problems from seeing other people's answers to similar questions, I'd say there are a few options...

 

1) Corrupted game. This could be due to scratches/other physical damages in the disc if you have a disc version of GTA V, and in a downloaded version, it could be for other reasons.

 

Try re-installing the game... I am not sure if saves will remain however.

 

2) Broken Blu-Ray reader. If on PS3, that is. A broken disc reader om X360. You'll have to replace the reader, but don't do that until you have tried everything else. They cost around $50 or such, and you should look at an online guide to do it yourself (if you don't want to send it to a shop or something).

 

3) Overheating. Consoles could have a bit of a struggle to run GTA V fluently, so this could be a problem. Try cleaning the console to see if it helps...

Short answer, it's broken. Long answer iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt'ssssss brroooookkeeeeennn.

It may have just overheated and needs some time to cool down, but if it still does it later today or in the morning, it could be time for a replacement i'm afraid. Sorry.

my Xbox is brand new and I only got it for GTA, so how is it broken.
