Matty99
Ever since the release of GTA 5 I have been asking my parents to let me get gta 5 and they have said no. I think it is mainly because of the sexual content and Nudity, I have been saying that because its a sandbox game you don't have to go anywhere near to any of that and I think I would mainly use gta to play online anyway. All of my friends have it as well and I'm coming up to 13, but I'm sensible and a mature 13 year old. I can tell the difference between real life stuff and video game stuffs. How can I persuade my parents further to let me get the game I would sacrifice all my other games to get? Thanks in advance! :-) minieye
JustOneMonth
:-) Nah. Buy Arkham Origins. Great game. No sh*t, i just think GTA V ain´t worth a bait tread or parents begging.
mike-commander
Uh its not just sexual content and nudity. The language/crude jokes in the game are so excessive that it almost becomes distasteful. Honestly though, there are plenty of other great games out there to keep you busy. Seriously dude, your parents are being decent parents by adhering to the ESRB rating. I wouldn't let my own kid play the game until he's 17, myself. Hell, I usually don't even play the game when he's around; I'll usually play it in my room when he's home or when we're in the living room, play something else. beanzinapot
If you're on Xbox, you can see if one of your friends has it on Xbox on demand. If so have them do a liscence transfer to your Xbox and downlowd the game trough the purchase history. Your parents can't take it from you if they never know!! TheJasonGallant
I have to say that if your parents don't want you to play it, just don't. Don't try to persuade them it is just a waste of time. Find something else to do. If you try to persuade them too much, they'll not want to listen to you anymore and they won't feel like you are really that mature. OGCFB
If you have the money yourself, you can obtain it in secret by getting someone else to buy it for you. That's like the oldest trick in the book.
Woll Smoth
If you're really 13, then I think you should wait until COD: Ghost release. I'm pretty sure all of your friends will move on to that when its out anyways. notch
CorporalBean675
Your parents have good reason to keep you away from GTA V. Anyone else stating otherwise on this thread is just either trolling or have nothing better to do. Just listen to your parents, don't try to beg them because that'll make it worse for you and them. Just leave it for now and when you're older, maybe you can borrow it from a friend or something.
Lelouch The Zero
LMAO @ all these idiots telling him to play a different game and listen to his parents. Hypocrisy at it's finest. TheJasonGallant
LMAO @ all these idiots telling him to play a different game and listen to his parents. Hypocrisy at it's finest. Everyone ha splayed GTA when they were younger, I myself have been playing GTA since I was 8-9 and my first GTA was GTA III. No, I know it seems easy to say like that, but it's still the right thing to do no matter how you put it. I can understand that it is fustrating, I know that me, at his age, I could play GTA. But, he can't. And even if he's whining about not being able to play and no matter how hard he tries to persuade them, this is not going to help. So I don't see how is it hypocrite to tell him what would be the best for him insted of trying to help him in the wrong way. Little edit: For example, I know it is a bit dramatic but it's still similar. Would it be selfish to refuse to give someone money so he can take drugs? If you put it in your version, yes, it is. You're not helping him getting what he wants, you do not understand why he wants some. But if you put it realisticly, you help him, you are thinking about what is the best for him so that's why you're not giving it to him. You know that there is no point doing that, it doesn't really help anyone. Well, it's similar here, ok you give him the game or you give him hints so he could maybe get to play the game. Playing the game isn't a bad thing after all. But, the parents don't want to let him play so how do you think they're going to react once they find out? Yeah that's right, it's going to be some serious sh*t. And what will happen if he tries those feble attempts to make his parents let him play the game? Simple, they will still refuse and the more he tries, the more tired will be the parents and do you know what happens when parents arew tired? Consequences. You see? I took the time to think a hell lot more than you when I wrote my post than when you did so who's the hypocrite now? KingPancakes
No kid, Please all we need is more squakers.I know you meant squeakers or atleast I hope you did lol. And yes like everyone in this thread is saying, don't beg or try to convince your parents to get it for you. Honestly it'll be a be waste of yourntime and theirs. Play somthing else for now. And I know it's hypocritical to say this cuz I was playing games considered too mature and graphic or me at the time like resident evil or even gta one. Christ before that it was Mortal Kombat and one or two that are nameless cuz honestly it was a long time ago now. But yeah, deal with it and play somthing else. You'll be better off. Edit: I think that my opinion would be different if I weren't a parent but now that I am it's a tough call for me. Because my son is only 8 months and not 8 years as well is weird since who knows what the games will be like 8 or 9 years from now. White Hot Speed
I find it hard to believe you're not trolling. But if you're not, get the money yourself. (move lawns, clean gutters, garages, paper routes, get headphones, and find someone to get it for you). Play after dinner / chores, turn TV so it's facing away from the door. If can you manage all of that, beat the game and not get busted, then you're mature enough.
