What a joke this is.No matter how much I have in my pocket I will lose $100. And they keep telling me to bank it as if it means something.

Mugger can only get $3000 max. So go ahead. Furthermore, easy as sh*t to kill a mugger and get it back.

They should call it GTA Online- We will hold your hand.

There is no risk in the game to make it exciting. Imagine stealing 100k from another player. Would be amazing. Imagine losing it, would be terrible but would add excitement.

People would just form Bands and make it less fun. Imagine a group of 8 robbing people. Not very fun.

This was a big fail. I remember the tension when I though the "save your money" warning meant something.

I would drive like crazy right after spawning after a series of races, look for a remote place to use the phone safely, and sh*t myself it a car sound emerged while I used the phone.

It should have been like that. Dying would actually mean something. Now it´s "oh he killed me...".

Exactly. This game should be ruthless, making you keep o your toes all the time. Instead there is no risk = no excitement

I must admit, this whole feature feels a lot less interesting than it sounded before launch. Unfortunately, RS can't really do anything about it now.

For starters, a lot of people already pull guns on people as soon as they hit free roam after a mission, race, etc - if they increase the amount of money able to be dropped, they'll encourage this behaviour (which I'm sure they don't want).

Secondly, if they up it by any significant amount, a lot of the community that are already complaining about the money situation will have another reason to whinge.

Really can't see it changing anytime soon unfortunately.

If they had it that you could be robbed of all your money from the start, I doubt anybody would have whinged. I thought the feature of being robbed was a given, obviously not.

I was hoping for this too - the threat of losing hard earned money in GTA.

But the game spawns people together in groups, where you are immediately vulnerable. It marks your exact position on the map at all times (so it makes me laugh when people say they are good at "hunting" people) and there is no logical way to know when someone has achieved a high cash job.

Because of all this, R* have instead put a limiter on the amount of cash you can lose, so people don't get upset - which is boring.

I would improve this by updating the blip system on the map (not always visible), bringing players together with intelligent mini-games and hot spots on the map and informing players when high-cash events happen. It would finally be exciting when you are holding a lot of cash and need it safe in the bank. Still don't like that you can pay in bank notes through your phone (why use ATM's?) but, with clumsy game mechanics, it's necessary at the moment, sadly.

Eh, I think people would of whinged, but it would be a lot less than if they were to include it now - and they would of been able to justify it in any case.

It just seems there is really little interaction with other players. You can't trade or anything, All you can do is kill other players and get nothing. It's a bore

Does the mugger send the cash back to you? Or is it vaporised?

If you send a mugger on someone, you have to actually kill the mugger to get the money.

Or the mugged player can kill them to get it back.

I agree there should be a greater risk involved with carrying cash. Likewise there should be a greater reward for taking someone down or mugging someone with cash. Not so much that it would make everyone horde all their money in the bank but more than the current system.

I agree with this. However all they need to do is put a timeout after mission so you don't get robbed right after them.

Yeah I'm pretty dissapointed with the whole dropped cash thing.

I thought i'd be clever one time as me and another guy were fighting over Simeon's vehicle to drop off and decided to camp out at the delivery spot. My plan was simple. Let the other guy do the work, sit back on top of a crane with a sniper and when buddy shows up, go invis using lester then BAM shoot the guy when he steps out. I figured it sounded cheap but if he was smart he'd make sure no one was sitting around waiting to snipe him if he wanted to avoid getting robbed. Especially when he knew I was vying for the reward.

Well sure enough I do the deed, go down to collect my spoils and get a measly 80$. :/

Lame.

Lame.

It's a valid tactic.

But with blips showing on the radar it becomes an easy one. You can see when the vehicle is arriving. They can see you are watching them arrive. So there's no surprise by you, and it's not very fair on them.

The solution, once again, is hide blips and have multiple entry points to Simeon's garage. That way, it's harder - but not impossible - to try this tactic. Much more fulfilling to attempt it, and not so unfair on whoever it's being attempted on!

I once had someone try to kill me at Simeon's garage. I managed to park by the crates and kill him when he came for me. But because of the respawn system I didn't have time to drive to the garage so the guy respawned and shot the car up. Very disappointing.

Yeah I really wish the spawn system spawned you somewhere random on the map when you die. It'd make dying more annoying (and it should be) and it'd make repeated spawn killing impossible.

Yeah someone tried doing that to me... But he wasn't smart enough to call lester. I brought my friend along and we killed him repeatedly until he quit the session.

I was thinking maybe they could make it so that when you die you lose a percentage of your money instead of just a fixed amount.

Yeah sure it would be annoying to lose 10000 but this is GTA get with it.

They need a dislike button for people like this guy.

8 people all robbing the rest who for some reason havent banked their cash? bank your f*cking cash.. or find a different session.. that's exactly what GTA online SHOULD be about, roaming groups having random PVP. Only tards keep more than 1k on them.

At the moment, only smart people keep all their money on them, because f*ck all happens to it in any circumstance.
