Bad Sport Story

It all started with me and some buddies riding around. Then out of nowhere we see this semi carrying 3 or so human players and their cars. They were shooting everyone they came across. So we did what any logical player would do, we chased them down. It wasnt hard considering we were in a fully upgraded Granger and they were in a semi. So I got the "bright idea" lets sticky bomb the semi and blow them all to Hell. So I did and my screen filled with you have destroyed a players personal vehicle blah blah blah. Immediately booted me from server and put a dunce cap on my head. Are you kidding me is this Grand Theft Auto or Barbies f*ckin playhouse. I ddon't understand how I can shoot a player in his dome piece and get points for it, but touch their car and its a damn travesty. Why get insurance then? I paid for the Damn cars What's the problem? Can someone please explain this to me?

Must be, once I blew up 5 player cars at once and didn't get bad sport. (I paid like 9K insurance though, but it was worth it)

Seems you need to blow up several PV, an hour. R* failed to let the players know the rules, thats for sure. But I blew up a PV and not even a warning. Watched a buddy of mine blow up 4 PVs in 3 hours and he only got one warning.

Personally, I have to yet get a "Bad Sport" flag or anything. However I have read everyone's horror stories concerning the rules and such. There's a few things they need to change.

 

• Passive Mode should be COMPLETELY PASSIVE. Meaning, If I'm in Passive Mode, you can't kill me at all. Shouldn't matter if I'm in my car, walking, flying, etc. I should be untouchable. By having a completely Passive Mode, those that want Player V Player conflict can destroy each other and leave the ones in passive mode alone.
• The "Bad Sport" should only be applied to those that conduct an actual Bad Sport rep. For example, leaving jobs, survivals, races, etc.

Bad sport should apply to the deadbeats in Survivals who join up with 3 other players, then leave their controller [getting killed instantly at the start of each wave] and come back awhile later hoping they made $20k for doing nothing.

Why get insurance then?

 

So you're saying that only other players destroy the vehicles, it's not often that the car isn't possible to drive to the LS customs, but if you get your car impounded and leave the session it seems to be destroyed by the cops, and then you'd need to make an insurance claim. I want to see a non-glitcher lose a super car and just go buy a new one.
