Advantages of Owning an Apartment over a Garage?

Really, if you play in normal lobbies, are there any real advantages of owning an apartment over a 10 Car Garage?
The only Heists I will ever do will probably be the ones I join. So apart from that?

The television is about the only useful thing IMHO.. fun watching people being attacked by the mercs you've put on them :)

take shower to clean yourself (if you dont die alot), place for crew to hang out (safe zone) after killing the lobby

I have a 10 car garage (not an apartment). And only thing I miss out on is the dumb activities, like drinking whiskey or hitting the bong, which I never used anyway and also, changing clothes at the wardrobe. I have to go to a clothes store to change clothes.

The 10 car garage has a tv in it so I can still watch people f*ck about or camp outside my garage when I have a bounty.

Thanks for that, Yeah I was watching the TV in my garage last night. Changing clothes, thats probably the only real reason I'd use the apartment then. Although the extra £100,000 isnt worth it for that.

Suppose you get better locations with the apartment too.

You can hold the back button, go to inventory and change your clothes anywhere, fyi.

the apartment is most like a part of roleplaying I think?

I am saving money for the 205000 apartment anyway

Do yourself a favor and save up an extra 30k and buy one of the apts that are 230,000k and up. They're MUCH nicer.

WhutsAGamertag

the appartment is good the first 2 days

however i don't think you will be able just to join heists, i believe you actually need to be there at an appartment and since heists probably pay a lot of money you want to be in charge of them (i guess)

Alta st. for 223k is by far the best apt to get. In the middle of the city, 2 blocks away from a Ammunation and LSC. Just perfect

Before I got this 10 car garage, I had the 6 car garage/apartment at the marina and I loved the area. Only thing that would've made it perfect was if the garage held 10 cars instead of 6 and there were actually boats at the marina.

Like I said, loved the area, but needed the extra space for more cars. And I only had $150,000 to spend so....

The thing bugging me about the high end apartment is that its so huge and you cant run.

I fcking hate spawning sleeping or taking a shower, or sitting on the couch.

You won't be able to just join heists like you would any other mission/job. You'll need at least a 200k apartment for the heists board. So yes, you do need an apartment if you plan on doing heists.

Has this been confirmed? It seems like common knowledge around here but I haven't seen anything official on this. Seems silly I can't plan in my garage... trevor does it on a random wall in sp.

Yeah, Lester tells you in the game after some mission (I forget which one) that you'll need a high end apartment for the "bigger jobs" he has planned for you. You'll notice all the high end apartments have a heists planning board, while none of the cheap apartments have one.

Bummer. Woldnt mind so much if they wernt all in LS, I prefer my garage in the boonies of sandy shores. That's where id hold up if I robbed a bank... not right down the street from it.

They need to add a run and jump function in the apartment. The walking is so damn slow.

I agree. I saw a couple guys in tanks get killed outside the front of my apartment and made a quick dash to get out and steal myself a tank but WALKING to the damn door took forever!

There's also a tv in every 10 car garage WITHOUT apartment, not?
