Bounty Hunter Machinima - Movie Trailer

Whoever does the non-bounty hunter's voice acting needs to be a bit less monotone when he speaks. It sounds like he's just reading what was put in front of him with no emotion, however, this looks like it could be good, so keep up the good work and I can't wait to see episode one.

I guess we all learn as we go, But thank you for the constructive feedback :)

What console do you play on?

360

Disappointing, I'd love to have my guy as an extra/target.

Alright, hey Vertigo just ignore the assholes that come here completely. Critics on the other hand who may be harsh but are giving good advice you need to pay attention to. It might hurt but they'll help you grow. That being said this is a concept I was interested in since Online was announced, even more so when I saw the mouths move with mics. So I'm going to say a few things about this piece here.

Suggestions first,

1) The voice acting isn't the best but you have to deal with what you have. Just try to put more time into it. Even professional movies have scenes with 10 or more takes to get it right. Practice, practice, practice. Then take a look at what you did and she how you can improve it.

2) Get a camera crew. Unfortunately this isn't first person so you can't use another player as a camera man but if you want to make it more of a movie experience you need to find a way to have a different set of camera angles. As I mentioned before characters mouths move (if a bit inaccurately) with voice acting. You need to take advantage of this feature and show it.

3) Take a bit of the game out of the feel. Yes it's a game and that's going to be clear as day but try to make it seem less gamey. I noticed you removed the hud, that's good. That'll help. Give the characters emotion too. You have different emotions in the quick menu you can take advantage of, along with actions such as smoking or eating a snack. Don't overdo these but sprinkle it around here and there as you need the body actors to be good along with the voices.

4) Spend time on the piece and look to those who were here before you. Rooster Teeth's Red vs. Blue is a great example. Yes a bit cheesy at the beginning but they've grown into a large and successful group. They spend a long time into making 7 minute videos. I'd like a lot more but I enjoy the seven minutes fully. I much rather see a good piece by you then several fast ones.

Moving on, I love the idea and I really want to contribute what I can. Unfortunately I don't have an amazing voice, or education in the drama department, so I couldn't do much better than your guys here. I also see you're on the 360 which is a bummer because I have this game on ps3 even though I also have a 360. Perhaps we can discuss something over a pm and figure it out. Either way I wish you luck.

You're full of sh*t, I know what it cost to get the rights to something and what you can and can not get the rights to. You can't own the right to bounty hunter movies, especially not made using a game created by a billion dollar company that does in fact own the rights to the game. If people could do so you'd see movie producers buying thr rights to Scifi and comedy.

Audio is messy, mainly the voice acting, can tell they've been recorded on low quality mics, but looks cool otherwise.

In response to SR, he can make whatever he wants as long as he doesn't try to sell it. That being said he could sell merchandise related to the show on the side with no problem. R* is as likely to take him down as Bungie is to take down Rooster Teeth

I emailed Rockstar before the game released and they said they dont mind people using there games in film as long as it isnt advertising a product etc, so there fine with it, Stop trolling

Yeah it's just a trailer, not a finished product. =P My voice is recuperating from working at a haunted house so even reading that took some effort.

Rewatched it a couple times.

Honestly:

-Voice acting is pretty bad

-A fedora and vest like 99.9% of online players, doesn't necessarily look bounty hunterish (imo :/)

-Make sure you don't use a rainbow parachute pls

-Mic quality is meh

But

-Has lots of potential

-Interesting (i'd probably watch it)

-Cinematography was kinda cool

You got lots of room for improvement but it's only 60 seconds of footage so I can't criticize too much.. Good luck, and if you ever need help ingame just drop me a message.

Sound Mixing is good (assuming it didnt just come out of the JB trailer)

Mic quality is poor... filter it some

Voice acting needs improving...
