Yeah, Tow Trucks have been a thing to use since SA for some Special Vehicles to be obtained, and the same can be said in V. However, the Trick I am talking about is the Snapmatic Trick. You open Snapmatic while standing at the Vehicle and then hit the button to get inside the Vehicle and you're magically teleported into it, despite the Locked Doors. There is also a Trick where you can obtain the Unique Snow Asea from Bury the Hatchet where before starting the Mission, you can "be inside the Interior 4 Car Garage" or at least that is what the games thinks you are in, and the moment Michael touches the Asea in North Yankton, the Mission will fail, but the Snow Asea will be impounded in Los Santos. Just pay the 250 and take it to a Garage. It's pretty cool. All of these Tricks work on PS3/360 1.00. You can obtain the UP (Unique Plate) JB-700 using the Interior Garage Trick, too, amongst others.

You know the TPE Graffiti Cargobob that sits at the Airstrip after stealing it from the Fort Zancudo for the Heist Setup? Well, it has Locked Doors, as well. But using Snapmatic Trick, you can get inside of it and park it on T's Helipad and it'll save. You can also get the Unique Skylift, but I am pretty sure that doesn't work on any Next Gen Versions of V. I really like the PS3 Version specifically for some of these Exploits...

Is anyone positive without a doubt the Bati 801RR isn't a Unique Vehicle? Seems like a one time spawn from The Jewel Store Heist when picking that one guy. Only seems obtainable on an unpatched game on PS3/360, as well. GTA IV, TLaD, and TBoGT all had "Unique" Vehicles in which spawned on the street IF AND ONLY IF you are driving one yourself OR it's still in the game's recent memory, hence why when replaying or playing The Jewel Store Heist it spawns on the streets for that short amount of time. I'd imagine GTA V is no different than the previous HD Era GTA's and this actually IS a Unique Vehicle. I ask because I am planning to do GTA V for the second time over again once I finish my new IV Save I am working on right now. Gonna do GTA V a lot better than I did before and was thinking about this Bike...

Lol...I went to obtain Poppy's UP Rapid GT, but when you fail The Sex Tape, even without obtaining the Rapid GT, you lose most of your Weapons and Ammo. Since I did the 13.30% Starter Save, I collected a lot of Ammo for Weapons within the Starter Save just to lose 80% of them for this Vehicle. It's easy to get, but not worth it if that is the case since I spent hours going around the map early on for a bunch of Weapons you can't get in the beginning from Ammunation normally, like Sticky Bombs, Molotovs, MG, Carbine Rifle, RPG, Grenade Launcher, Minigun, etc...

That always happens when failing a mission. It strips you of all weapons you haven't unlocked for purchase (including weapons that are never available to buy, like most melee weapons and molotovs). Nothing unique to that specific mission.

Thanks for letting me know. Total bullsh*t, though...

You also don't have the UP Gauntlet, UP Emperors (two of them), or UP Hexer in your Guide on Gamefaqs. Just letting you know. All of which come from Franklin's Taxi Missions. Gauntlet says SNAKEYES, Emperors say NIKOB, ROMANB, and the Hexer says LUISLPZ or something like that. I could be wrong with the exact phrase of what they say or with letters/numbers/spacing, etc...

I also bit the bullet and did go ahead and get that UP Rapid GT despite losing majority of my sh*t in the process. I also can conclude the Bati 801RR isn't in fact a Unique Vehicle. In my current playthrough, I've seen it now twice. One time after storing the EC Dinghy from Derailed and then beached a Sandshark near the highway and ran on foot to find a bunch driving by me and on another occasion, as well. I didn't see it EVER in my 1st playthrough, but this time I saw it twice. Glad I figured that out cuz it was bothering the sh*t out of me whether it was Unique or not. I thought previously it could only be obtained from The Jewel Store Job as the game keeps it in memory after the Mission and/or on a Replay and spawns it in traffic. But yeah, it can be find in free roam anytime, I guess. Just really rare...

Oh, and you are also missing the Next Gen Exclusive Conversion for making any Motorcycle converted to AP/PP...PP isn't special since any Bike can be given BP Tires, but the Tires become PP, as well as the Bike being indestructible. Only works on PS4, XOne, and PC, though. Apparently they can only be saved in the Safehouse Garages, too, and only with a Quicksave...

I am currently 82.80% done with this Save but am doing TRUE 100%. Meaning all 66 Strangers and Freaks with Gold and all 69 Story Missions + Lester Assassinations with Gold, as well. I've succeeded on the lot so far, other than The Paleto Score with only 88% Silver due to f*cking Accuracy Requirement only being 25-35%, yet I need 50% or greater. Can't stand the Gold Medal Objectives as half of them are bugged and complete bullsh*t to say the least...Sometimes they don't even register. Like during Caida Libre, it took so long to finally get the Sanchez to Top Speed. But? I did the same thing, all 20+ tries. Only randomly it would register, hence why the Gold Medal Objectives are just stupid. Not to mention, I had to get the MADRAZO Baller after Minor Turbulence and got Gold on both in a row and switched to Michael to have him at the Yellow Jack Inn with the Baller thankfully. Took all day, though, due to Gold Medal Bullsh*t...

There are a total of 46 golds from Strangers and Freaks, and 77 from story missions (only if you choose heist options with the maximum number of setups: Smart, Offshore, Fire, and Subtle). Several S&F and some story missions don't have a medal, and there are a few missions that count as main missions that aren't story (including some of those setups, and Michael's three family missions via phone call).

I haven't had a problem with most gold medals, but some can be deceptive. The top speed objective in Caida Libre is impossible to achieve unless you intentionally run the Sanchez down a steeper hill (than the scripted path) at top speed, otherwise you'll max out at 98% or so. You probably did just that without realizing it on your successful attempt. Though I have to ask, are you doing replays to get the golds, or are you insisting on doing golds on the first run of a mission (so you reload if you don't get gold)?

Theoretically, you can get gold on all missions on a single try, but some are extremely hard. Paleto Score is one, due to the 5000+ bullets objective and the 50%+ accuracy objective. Another tricky objective is the 8 stun gun stuns in Monkey Business; make sure you stun at least a guard or two once the firefight begins, because you can't get 8 stuns prior to that, even if it seems like you do.

Also, my guide is specifically only for the last gen versions (360 and PS3). I have a PS4, but I don't have GTA5 for it. If/when I get it, I'll release a new version specifically for the PS4/XB1/PC versions. Any tips and tactics for next gen only are irrelevant for the existing guide.

Yeah, I realized that. There is 66 Strangers and Freaks Missions that can be ACTIVATED, but some just tell you to "leave the area" or "go find 15 For Sale Signs or Submarine Parts," etc, etc, thus not actually a Mission for a Medal. But I am still doing every single "?" on the Map for all 3 Characters including the bullsh*t, tedious, time consuming Epsilon Program (mainly for the EC Velum and EC Sentinel XS). In fact, the only Strangers and Freaks left are finishing them for Josh, Abigail, Epsilon, Mrs. Phillips, and "Sasquatch Hunter - The Last One" once 100% is achieved. I've obtained Gold on the rest of the lot and did everything possible.

As for the Story Missions, I only have Lamar Down, Meltdown, Planning the Big Score, Driller, Sidetracked, The Big Score, and The Third Way to get with Gold as well as the remaining Special Vehicles, like the UP Vacca, UP Stretch, Unique Skylift, and UP Tornado and the Story is done. Then just the remaining 4 Lester Assassination Missions and using the Stock Market. Then to buy the remaining 14 Properties and get the remaining Special Vehicles from Strangers and Freaks as Michael (Epsilon and Abigail) as well as Franklin's Taxi Missions and I finished. I'll have 32 Special Vehicles in my Save + a Lazer, which isn't special, but since I had room as only 2 Hangers would be in use (EC Cuban 800 with Trevor and EC Velum with Michael), I thought getting a Lazer would be nice and I like flying it, anyways.

Make note, that I am also doing the Save on Version 1.00 on PS3. I know WHY the Vehicles vanish from Safehouse Garages and I know HOW to avoid it. I am using all 3 Character's Impound Garages, too, storing 2 fully modded Special Vehicles in each. I'll post Photos of my Collection once I fully finish the Save, of course, as I do that with all my Saves and show what I obtained.

Sometimes I think 1.00 has bugs with the Gold Medal Objectives, though. Even the one Dom Mission where you parachute onto Chilliad and then bike down the Mountain? Well, "Big Air" took FOREVER to register. Did the Mission like 15 times, exactly the same and randomly it would register. Same with Caida Libre. I know about the bigger hill to go down, off the normal path and that DID indeed allow me to achieve 105% for the Speed and get Gold, however, I DID use the normal path on 2 other occasions and DID get Gold. See? It's bullsh*t. Sometimes it gives you it, sometimes not.

And yeah, I am reloading if I don't get Gold. I've done that the ENTIRE game thus far for ALL Story and ALL Strangers and Freaks Missions. The only time I used a Replay thus far was for Fame or Shame due to switching to Michael and automatically starting the damn Mission in which I wanted to quicksave before doing that, but of course the game didn't let me and went straight into the Mission. I got Silver, then on a Replay, got Gold. I'll be using a Replay for The Paleto Score at a later time for the Accuracy Requirement, thus getting Gold on that Mission, too. I tried getting Gold on it the first time through via reloading time and time again, but it's too time consuming to waste 20 minutes on a stupid Mission and not getting Gold due to some stupid requirement. I slaughtered everyone, yet not accurate enough. It's silly requirements and in your face objectives after every Mission as to a big reason I can't stand TBoGT and V. f*cking Medal/Percents ought to go.

I actually didn't know until last night that I could use a Replay and solely work on one of the Gold Medal Objectives. I thought on a Replay, I also would of had to get all checkmarks at once, but apparently, they made it piss easy. It's easy to get the Accuracy 50% or better on The Paleto Score if I am JUST concentrating on that and not the "Let it Rain" 4000 Bullets from Trevor's Minigun. I really hate the objectives...

In Monkey Business, I didn't have any problems. It's true sometimes I would only get Silver and 7/8 Stun Gun Kills, but I reloaded and eventually got Gold on the first time through, no Replay. But things like that are the reasons V is ridiculous amongst many other things I won't mention in this Topic, but have mentioned in various other Topics on the V Forums since 2013.

True. I forgot about that. There is a lot of Vehicles obtainable on PS3/360, whereas they are completely unobtainable on PS4, XOne, and PC. But on Next Gen, they have the AP/PP Conversion for Motorcycles ONLY, at least, whereas PS3/360 doesn't due to the animation being different when exiting the Character's 4 Car Garage.

Also, your Description about getting the "B3L13V3" Blazer from Ron during Nervous Ron didn't work for me. After the cutscene? Vehicle disappeared 100% of the time. I had to get lucky and activate the Mission, NOT get on Trevor's Blazer, but instead drive away and find a Hauler which was nearby luckily, and then used that to push the Blazer back to the Garage with ease. Only took like 3 minutes if that. If I quicksaved inside of it and started the Mission, it disappeared, as well as any other Vehicle I had disappeared after that cutscene. See, this might be 1.00 specific, or even PS3 specific. I noticed a lot of errors like these in your IV, TLaD, and TBoGT Guides as well. I have a Guide on this Forum for III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, IV, TLaD, TBoGT, and CW, btw. I was planning on making one for GTA V in the future if I feel like it. I gained a lot more knowledge this playthrough I am currently doing, so it would be easy to write. Before, I couldn't even remember half of the Mission names let alone how to obtain some of the Special Vehicles, etc.

Even the Unique/UP Snow Asea. I didn't get Mission Failure. I had to exit the Snow Asea in North Yankton and run away from it it to fail the Mission and THEN pick it up at M's Impound. The Mission theoretically could of kept going, but I wouldn't of got Gold on it of course.

The whole "work on one objective at a time" thing for golds was also in TBoGT and RDR. It's not unique to GTA5. Although if you're playing on 1.00, then it's very possible some of the gold medal requirements may be different or even bugged to some extent. I imagine they did a lot of fixing in patch 1.01.

I wager a lot of the issues you mention are PS3-specific, not so much 1.00 specific. I know there were some platform differences in GTA4 and it's DLC, with the Skylift being one of the main ones that stood out. I didn't really get many people emailing me about PS3-related issues for my GTA4 guides, although whenever I did I tried to make a note. I've only played the 360 version of the games.

See, I don't like/play RDR and I never cared about 100%/Gold Medal Objectives on Missions until this V playthrough, despite finishing a new TBoGT Save a couple months back. So thanks for telling me it's also possible to do such a thing in TBoGT if I ever decide to get 100% Objectives on the Story Missions.

Yeah, I play V on 1.00, cuz for me personally, the Special Vehicle Quest is always better doing it on 1.00 since the Patches remove Exploits and f*ck other sh*t up with the game. Not to mention playing on 1.00, seems to allow my PS3 run V better. When it's on 1.26, it seems to make my PS3 run harder just to play the damn game and there is plenty of Weapons in the game already, so updating for more Vehicles that aren't Special and useless Weapons is pointless to me. I also do NOT play Online, either, and never, ever will. The ONLY issue with 1.00 in my case is the Safehouse Garage bug where Vehicles disappear easily, but like I said, I know why it happens and how to avoid it, thus they don't disappear for me. Perhaps the Gold Medal Objectives are bugged at times, but I managed. I have Gold on EVERYTHING at this point except "The Third Way," where I got Silver the first time and then the game seems to also allow me to do Option A and B through a Replay and these automatically are given Bronze when looking at the Mission List in the Replay Section. So I only need to Replay The Third Way for the extra 2% Accuracy and extra 45 Seconds too slow to finish the Mission. I had 68% Accuracy, yet you need 70% or higher and I had 22:11, where you need 21:30 or less. Time wouldn't of been an issue for me if I didn't get the UP Tornado, but I did of course. I know YOU said you can get Gold while getting the Tornado, but I couldn't by 45 Seconds, basically. The Accuracy is ALWAYS an issue for me. I always get like 1-5% below what the game wants me to get. Headshots are no issue, but I don't like the Accuracy Requirement on most of them. I Replayed The Paleto Score and got Gold, finally getting above 50%, and I got 58% Accuracy. But yeah, other than Replaying The Third Way, Something Sensible, and The Time's Come for Gold, every other Story Mission and Strangers and Freaks Mission is now Gold.

Since I am on 1.00, as well, I can't use BAWSAQ for the Stock Market, either. So at best, I was able to get ~ 375 Million with all 3 Characters. It's plenty, though. I'll be able to buy the remaining 14 Properties and that is in fact what will give me 100% Completion, as I am 98.80% right now, only missing 1 Task in the Miscellaneous Bar in the Pause Menu.

About the Skylift in TBoGT. If you check my Guide, there is talk about getting it on PS3 with NO CHEATS, just a Death, as usual. You can use an Annihilator with Explosive Guns to shoot it down, get it to land in the parking space, and then kill yourself. However, nobody did it yet, or that I know of, but can get pretty damn close. I reckon it's surely possible, but luck based.

About IV...I tried getting the EC Super GT with Luster in "No. 1," but this is also a PS3 issue. No matter what, ALL Vehicles vanish after the cutscene, even with keeping the camera on them and them being close in proximity. Tried countless times and it doesn't work at all on PS3. Apparently just X360 and PC as I saw it on Youtube with BOTH Platforms, but not PS3. Also, I made my OWN Method for the Unique Police Stockade in Tunnel of Death with PASSING the Mission. It was rather simple using a Fire Truck and having it at the Alderney Safehouse before taking the Stockade to the dump site. I didn't get a single Wanted Level and it took all of 20 minutes or so. It was nothing. Also, check my TLaD Guide as someone said they got the Prison Bus and Laundromat from Get Lost at the same time and passed the Mission. Your Guide said that a Fire Truck never comes, but apparently, you just need to get far away from the Prison BEFORE calling for one and one WILL show up and can use it to push both back to the Safehouse. Also on PS3, if I fail that Mission, the game teleports me back to the Lost MC Clubhouse, so those Vehicles aren't even possible with Failure. You either pass and get them, or don't get them at all. If I leave the Hexer behind, the Mission fails, too. I need to double drive the Hexer along with a pushing Vehicle and push both the Prison Bus and Laundromat. I was ultimately confused when reading the Description on Gamefaqs. Didn't get how to obtain them at all and them someone else who got them and on PS3 let me know how...

EDIT: I finished my V Save! Photos will be up tomorrow of my Special Vehicles. I obtained 30 in total + a Lazer for Franklin's Hanger.

The Save was done on PS3 Version 1.00. Every Vehicle that was accepted by Los Santos Customs has been fully modded. Every single Story Mission and every single Strangers and Freaks Mission has been completed with 100% Gold Medal Objectives. Since I was playing on 1.00 without the Internet enabled, I wasn't able to use BAWSAQ for more money during the Lester Assassination Missions with the Stock Market, however, I was able to get ~ 375 Million with all 3 Characters and after buying all 15 Properties, M still has 171 Million, F still has 366 Million, and T still has 370 Million so clearly I have plenty as there is nothing else to spend it on at this time. I went ahead and did the 13.30% Starter Save as well before finishing this Save off to 100% and within that Starter Save I did all 50 Stunt Jumps, 50 Under the Bridges, and 15 Knife Flights. I didn't do that half assed bullsh*t that Rockstar allows you to do in this game with only doing half of what is required. I did every possible task in V with all Gold, including Shooting Range with all 3 Characters for the 25% Discount at Ammunation as well as all Gold in Flight School.

I also have a Lazer in F's Hanger, but didn't take a Photo of it since it's not an actual Special Vehicle, but since I had a spot left in his Hanger, I decided to get it from Fort Zancudo. The only space free in the entire Save is 1 spot in T's Sandy Shores Safehouse Garage, 1 spot in T's 4 Car Garage, and 1 spot in both F and M's Marina Dock. I filled 31 spots out of 35 spots in the game to store Vehicles. 30 Special Vehicles, 1 non Special Vehicle (Lazer). I did have planned to get the UP Hexer and UP Emperor from F's Taxi Missions but didn't feel like waiting in game weeks and doing all 9 of the Fares just to get UP Vehicles that can be obtained any time and unlimited. I can always try in the future.

The Save is 100.00% Completion, 0 Times Died, 0 Times Busted, 0 Cheat Codes Activated, and 1 Times Saved. You can keep that Stat at 1 if you save the game, and then reload the game and continue doing that as you go through the game, thus when reaching 100%, it remains at 1. You can do the same thing in IV, TLaD, and TBoGT, too, where when you save and reload, you can actually keep the Stat at 0 when you reach 100%.

I am done with V now for good. Time to move onto doing my new VCS 49.20% Starter Save! :)

EDIT: I also think those Red/Orange Rims on the F620 are special, too, since I couldn't find such Color in Los Santos Customs so I kept them the same Color.

Oh, and I forgot to mention I have ALL Weapons, including Melee Weapons and Molotovs which can't be purchased at Ammunation with all 3 Characters including maximum Ammo held.

To address some of your points from your previous post (too long to bother quoting):

Regarding accuracy requirements, I find that it's best to use a shotgun when possible. Gives a very high chance of at least one pellet hitting, which counts as a hit. If you use auto-aim or aim assist, netting headshots is also easy since it's one pellet to the head = death. If you use free aim, that's probably where the extra time on The Third Way came from; I can finish in ~18 minutes without the Tornado, or ~21 minutes with the trip to Paleto's mod shop. I do most missions as an all-in-one gold, but a few I just don't worry too much about reloading for if I missed an objective. Paleto Score is the only one I can think of offhand that is almost impossible to all-in-one gold, though. The torture mission is also VERY difficult to do that with, but choosing the correct order for the torture implements does allow it to be done.

Skylift on PS3... is this a video of the 1 death no cheat strategy you spoke of? Either way, for my own purposes, Chest > Death = Arrest when it comes to triaging strategy choices that require one of them. Mainly because cheating is always deliberate, while deaths or arrests can be accidental. If this is the video, then it's in my TBoGT guide, but not written up, just as a video link advertising it as a way to obtain it on PS3. Let me know if the method you speak of involves the first or second Skylift mission.

As for the Prison Bus and Laundromat in Get Lost, I'm the one who got both at the same time using a heavy truck to push the bus and van while also double-driving the Hexer. Or at least one of the people, and probably (one of) the first. If someone else had thought of and done that strategy before me, I wasn't aware of it at the time. It's written up in my guide, although the detail about the Firetruck is very interesting and something I'll need to check myself. That'd make it much easier than hoping a Mule or Steed spawns nearby. Regarding mission failure and keeping the Hexer nearby, those both work the same way on 360, so I don't think there's anything specific to the PS3 in that particular mission.

Lethal Vaccine

When I did The Third Way on a Replay, I got 19:25 and 89% Accuracy which fulfilled the Gold Medal on that Mission as it was the only Objectives I didn't get the first time through. I've got all-in-one Gold on every single Story and Strangers and Freaks Missions OTHER THAN The Paleto Score due to accuracy and The Third Way mainly due to getting the Tornado and missing 2% of accuracy. I am more acquainted with the 3D Era and don't really like V all that much. In fact, it's only my second playthrough and the first one was back in 2013-14. Back then, I did a lot of half assed things like 25/50 of this or that, 8/15 of this, etc, etc. I didn't care for Gold, just passing the Mission, most Strangers and Freaks (not required for 100%) weren't even touched, I had less Special Vehicles, etc, etc, etc. All around this Save is much better and the last one I do...

As for By the Book, I got Gold on it first try following GTA Series Videos. I just used the Torture Weapons in the sequence he did and got Gold no problem.

No. This is using Cheats to spawn a Buzzard. You don't need a Buzzard at all. You just need an Annihilator which you can get from a Mission (it's in your Guide) with ease and park it at Middle Park East before doing the Mission for the Skylift. After meeting up with the Skylift using Yusuf's Swift, you just go to Middle Park East after landing Yusuf's Swift and wait there in the air with the Annihilator until the Skylift comes near and then use the Annihilator's Explosive Guns to shoot it down and hope the wreck lands in the parking space. Then jump out of the Annihilator and commit suicide while keeping the camera on the wreck in the parking space. With luck, it should be renewed. This involves 1 Death. That Video involves 1 Death + Cheats. I only would consider getting it without the use of Cheats. You physically can't get the Skylift without dying. It's 100% impossible as far as I know, especially on PS3 since the Skylift isn't possible in the other Mission like it is on X360...

Again, just read my TLaD Topic. Someone showed Photos of their Red Lustered Laundromat and the Prison Bus at Brian's House yesterday. He also used a Fire Truck and wrote up how he got them. If I knew the Fire Truck actually worked, I would of had these no problem, too, but didn't know the FACTS until AFTER I finished my TLaD Save. I have 2 Missions Failed in my Save due to getting it from Off Route with a Mission Failure + Replay instead of Get Lost with passing the Mission. Got the Laundromat without EC and Luster from End of Chapter with passing, of course, but would prefer the one in Get Lost. I only wanted 1 Mission Failure in that Save, but went for 2 due to not knowing about this stuff before hand. I should of only failed for the Unique Roman's Taxi and that's it.

That might be true, but you have such a short description in your Guide. It makes NO mention of double driving the Hexer along with the pushing Vehicle. It makes NO mention of how far away you can travel from Terry/Clay and your Hexer before the Mission fails. I even failed the Mission once due to Terry wrecking his bike somehow. All I am saying is it would of been nice to know some of this stuff before trying it as I went through hell trying to get them, then figured they weren't even possible, thus went back to an older Save before Off Route and had to re-do MORE THAN 50% of the entire game just to get back to Get Lost which gave me 100%. Then a couple days AFTER finishing it in full, someone told me the facts, and then two days ago someone also said how they got it. Both people used a Fire Truck, too...

Well damn, you're right about not mentioning having to double-drive the Hexer in my guide's description. Good call on that, I'll have to do some editing on that one, along with the Firetruck idea. I'll also check into the Annihilator idea you posted, although it sounds like it's basically the same concept, just using an Annihilator instead of a Buzzard.

Right. It is the same concept. Only that it requires ZERO CHEATS. Cheats + Death or JUST Death? Obviously JUST a Death is better than Cheats + Death. If it's possible to get the Unique Skylift without Cheats than that is +1 better than getting it with a Death and using Cheats. Regardless that Skylift will require a Death. I am just looking for a way to obtain it without Cheats. In my Guides I made for the Forum, I don't include Special Vehicles that require Cheats or outside sources of any kind. For instance, the EC Black Maverick in Babysitting in GTA IV is NOT in my IV Guide since it's not possible to get unless you use Cheats. Besides, the same EC Black Maverick is found in TBoGT and can pass a Mission to get it and no Cheats, so it's not "needed" in IV if it's going to require Cheats. That's how I look at it, anyways.

About Get Lost, yeah, you totally confused the sh*t out of me on that one when I was reading it months ago when I was doing TLaD. You missed one of, if not the most important and vital piece of information in order to obtain those. I left my Hexer in the Prison, went to go find a large Vehicle. Mission Failed, teleported back to the Clubhouse. I did get a large Vehicle finally, and started pushing both the Prison Bus and Laundromat out of the Prison only to fail the Mission when I got near the Police Station, rather close to the Prison, due to not knowing the piece of information that I needed my Hexer along with me as well as Terry and Clay on their Bikes. I got furious after all these problems. I want to have my Guides on this Forum fully up to date with the most accurate information. When I write the Entries for my Guides, it's not just a small paragraph. It's practically a short novel after I am done writing. It's better to have MORE information than technically needed than not enough. The people reading need it spelled out for them if they plan on obtaining these Vehicles. When it comes to the HD Era I was very confused on a lot of things I read due to lack of personal experience with the Vehicles, but in the 3D Era it was simple to write for my own Guides as well as obtain everything that exists in the games since I played them countless times and knew what I was doing. I've owned the HD Era Games for a while, but only did two to three playthroughs of each and only recently gained a lot more knowledge of the Special Vehicles in those games due to writing my own Guides and trying to obtain things myself...

Gotta say, that trick to get a Fire Truck is absolutely amazing and takes 90% of the luck out of obtaining those vehicles.

Honestly though, you seem like you're mad at me for having accidentally excluded the note about double-driving the Hexer. It was definitely a big omission, but since you're aware of my guide, you could always have contacted me and asked if there was something you were missing. I could've told you right away that the Hexer needed to be double-driven while pishing the vehicles., saving a lot of frustration. This goes for any vehicle in my guides that you have difficulty with. And if you find something that is incorrect or doesn't work, let me know and I'll fix it! Or at least make a note, if it seems to be a difference between 360 and PS3 versions. My guides and myself don't exist in some vacuum, separate from you and other players.

Also, it'd be nice if you could include some credit to me and my guide in your first post for your own guides on this site, since they heavily borrow information from my own guides.

At the time, since I knew you were a Member on this Forum, I saw you weren't on for months. So I figured you were gonna be like System Error was years ago and just vanish. I also looked at the time stamps on your Guides of when the last updates were and they were years ago. So I figured you stopped updating things completely...

I am going to be rewriting most of what you see written. I've just updated my III, VC, and CW Guide and now in the process of fixing some things for LCS. Then I am moving to fix VCS and afterwards, TLaD/TBoGT as they are short. Once those are finished, just SA and IV to fix since those will take quite some time. Within the Comments of those HD Era Guides, I told others that I got most information from your Guide already, too, but made note that there was indeed some errors and things that didn't really make much sense to me since you write very little for each entry. There is only so many ways to say how to get a Special Vehicle, since there isn't dozens of different Methods. There is a specific way to obtain them, thus they only way to put it in a Guide. When I find a better way, that is when I update and write different things. Or if I find out the Vehicles are completely unobtainable from what I am reading, I also update. When it comes to the HD Era Guides, too, I get confused if the COLOR of the Vehicle is special or JUST the Luster. Since the beginning of time, people have been calling a secondary color, just that, a secondary color saying EC2 or UC2. But now it's called Luster/Pearlescent when there is no reason to change such terminology. A bunch of people, for instance, say CP for Crash Proof as that is what it is in the game's code, but this obviously interferes with half the people who say CP as Comprehensive Proof. CP interferes with CP. I personally say DP for Damage Proof instead of Crash Proof, but when it comes to Indestructible, we've adopted either the terms Full Immune (FI) or All Proof (AP). CP is old terminology that interferes with the true CP of Crash Proof. And way back when in the early 2000's, I remember such a term as Everything Proof (EP) which clearly interferes with Explosion Proof (EP). That's why it was supposedly changed to Comprehensive Proof, but that also, since day 1, interfered with Crash Proof.

Also, some of your thinking was confusing me. Like, I know you can get a Double T Custom from a Race, or even a Hakuchou Custom from a Race, but other than Races, you can't find them in traffic if unless perhaps you're driving one yourself, so why AREN'T these classified as Unique Vehicles? Just because you can get them anytime? But you can also get a Slamvan, Gang Burrito, and things like that "anytime" from a Gang War, but I still find them Unique Vehicles as other than Gang Wars after tons of reloading, you can't find them anywhere and they don't spawn on the street. Furthermore, there is a Black and Orange Slamvan AND a Blue an White Slamvan. The Gang Burrito also can be Black and Orange and Blue and White. Your Guide doesn't mention the dual colors in BOTH cases. You can get a Gang Burrito from a few Missions, too, and someone has recently told me about the EC Charcoal Black Gang Burrito in which can be obtained from Action/Reaction whilst passing the Mission. Like I said, I gotta do many updates with those HD Era Guides and at that time, I will be changing a lot and writing them off my own knowledge since I just finished IV, TLaD, and TBoGT these past couple months, V included, to be able to fully understand how to get them, not leaving out any important information for each and every person reading can understand and go about obtaining what they want to obtain. Take for instance, the Heavy Mr. Whoopee in Scooter Shooter in LCS. a Mr. Whoopee is only found in that Mission and nowhere else in the game, thus Unique, despite Scooter Shooter being able to be played at all times, even after 100%. So I see the Double T Custom and Hakuchou Custom as the same way. Just because a Race can be played at all times, doesn't mean those Vehicles aren't Unique. They certainly are. So in my TLaD Guide, I have a lot of things already different from yours and more to add like Action/Reaction, and some other things to change, as well. Like I said, I don't like rushing through my Guides and I always like having them up to date with the best information possible, so I will be updating and changing a lot. Just didn't get to fixing any HD Era Guides other than CW since it was short and did that last August after finishing up a Save for CW.

In my Guides, I also like to list everything in order, not jumping around from Unique, to EC, to Lustered, etc, etc. By doing that, people may miss something as they already passed the Mission which contains a Vehicle they want. A lot of scrolling up, down, up, down doing it that way...

Yeah, his Guides are on Gamefaqs and outdated. Hence the whole reason to do my own Guides here, in which are updated, and hopefully with Videos in time. I also don't like how his Guides are layed out. He has Unique Vehicles, Lustered Vehicles, and EC Vehicles all separately. Whereas I have ALL the Vehicles simply in a row of when they come up in the Story. With His Guide you gotta scroll down so far just to find a Vehicle if it's EC, but if it has a Luster, then you need to scroll up to find a Lustered Vehicle. No idea why it's just not in order from beginning to end. A lot of scrolling up, scrolling down, scrolling up, scrolling down. It's annoying...

You can also find about Special Vehicles on GTA Wiki, but that site blows ass and is so incomplete, it's embarrassing. False information, and doesn't include everything...

From my IV Guide, Comment 7.

I've been getting some of my Facts from HERE, however in this Guide, it makes no mention of that. There is a Phantom driven by Russians, but it's said to be Black and not special. You sure it's the Mafia and not Russians? Each Gang has signature Vehicles, some special, some not during Gang Wars and I can't recall seeing any Phantoms driven by the Mafia, but the Russians. Is the Green Luster special? If you can confirm, I will add it into the Mafia Gang Vehicles Section...

Also, some of the things said in that Guide aren't accurate. Like, a Double T Custom, Hakuchou Custom, Gang Burrito, Slamvan, etc aren't considered Unique Vehicles, but I don't see how they aren't Unique Vehicles...None spawn on the streets at all, and only can be found in Missions, Gang Wars, and Races...They do, however, spawn if you are driving them except for Gang Burritos and Slamvans, of course.

From my TLaD Guide, Comment 20.

"STRATEGY (PC version): lol232 reports that the combination of buttons that must be mashed to trigger the glitch are: Q, W, F, V, C, space, and the left mouse button, all assuming default controls. In addition, he mentions that switching weapons may not work if the glitch below kicks in. To solve this, you must lose all weapons by getting busted or using all of their ammo. The only remaining weapons allowed are a sniper rifle and a melee weapon. I don't have the PC version, so I'm not aware if there are any workarounds to this issue."

The Glitch he is referring to is when you "leave" the Stretch E and are stuck in Sticky Bomb Throwing Position. It happened to me on PS3, but I was able to just switch to Melee Weapon to get out of that and then I made a dash to a nearby Slamvan. The one I got has the Red Trim around the Tires.

Just like Lancet Jades has said, I, too, do NOT have the PC Version so I can't be sure of this and it sucks that you need to lose all your Weapons other than a Sniper Rifle and Melee Weapons. I only obtained this on PS3. Currently, I finished my 16.06% Starter Save for TLaD and starting tomorrow, I will starting the Story and Special Vehicles. Once I finish TLaD by next weekend at the latest most likely, I will be starting my TBoGT Starter Save and then going to 100% with Minimum Stats and 16 Special Vehicles with that game, too. Then it's time for IV Starter Save + 100% Save and GTA V Starter Save.

From my TBoGT Guide, Comment 9.

But yeah, to answer your question, if I use some information, I will mention you in the Guide, but after updating them, I should have a lot of things changed and done differently, anyways...

If you want to talk in PM, send me one, or go into the proper Guides. Anyways, to bring it back on Topic since this is NOT about IV, TLaD, TBoGT or any other GTA and is just for V, I also noticed you can just blow up the Truck during Money Business with a Sticky Bomb to fail the Mission to keep the Unique Jetsam Cargobob. You'll be teleported back to the Mission Start, but the Unique Jetsam Cargobob will be there when you return to the Airfield. Also, for the EC Velum, you can just shoot from a distance in the area of where the Mission starts to cancel it and then use the Camera Trick to get into the locked Velum. No need to bring another Character to the location to cancel the Mission, etc. As for the UP Blazer from Ron, I gave information on that and how to get it since having a Truck to push the Blazer BEFORE the Mission starts just removes it after you start the Mission. For the UP Vacca and UP Stretch during Meltdown, no need to use the Los Santos Customs Trick and pick anything up from the Impound. Just get into the Vehicle you want and allow the timer to expire. After it does and the Mission fails, you'll still be driving either of the two Special Vehicles. The Stretch can't be modded, anyways. Vacca can, but no need. It's just an extra unnecessary step...

The definition of special vehicles used in my guide are as follows:

Not special: Can be obtained infinitely and permanently at the start or end of game

Rare Cannot be obtained at the start of game but can be obtained infinitely and permanently at the end of game.

Special Cannot be obtained infinitely and permanently at the end of game.

Proofing: A vehicle that has some damage immunity, as many did in the 3D era. I will list these regardless of which of the three above categories they fit into, but as we know, the vasy majority of proofed vehicles (in 3D at least) fit into the Special category.

Within special are different categories:

Unique: A vehicle with a unique name. In this case, it is defined strictly as "unique name" and "cannot be obtained infinitely and permanently at the end of the game."

Special feature: Color, modifications, whatever, just something that is unique about the visible appearance.

Unobtainable: Cannot be permanently kept, but still fits the definition of Special from above.

These definitions are why things like Hakuchou Custom aren't listed as unique vehicles. You can find them as much as you want at the end of the game by replaying races and obtaining them there. They fall into the Rare category as a result. Compare to Laundromat, Regina, Prison Bus, etc. Absolutely no way to obtain them once you finish the storyline, no matter what you do (short of cheating them in somehow). That's a HUGE difference, and why I define them as such.

I split up luster and other special feature vehicles due to the sheer quantity of them in GTA4. Same reason I separated out special license plates and special features in GTA5. When you're writing your guides here, almost all (if not all) of the vehicles are already known, especially if you're using my guide as a reference. When I wrote my guides, especially the GTA4 guides, vehicles were still being discovered. If someone discovers a new special vehicle in an early mission, I have to insert it and increment the vehicle number of EVERY vehicle after it. That's already a chore, but it'd be even worse if lusters/plates were combined with other special features. I also need to keep in mind references to vehicles in other vehicle's entries, so I don't leave outdated vehicle numbers there (I found a few when I revised my TLAD guide yesterday).

My guide has a master mission list that is used to sort the vehicles. One issue with doing a strictly chronological list is that sometimes you can do missions in a different order. That'sd why I include the mission list and sort all of my vehicles according to that list, with stranger missions and other side mission stuff at the end, since it can (almost) always be put off until the end of the game, but even then once the stranger mission is done, the vehicle can't be obtained again.

Lethal Vaccine

Yeah, when it comes to the definitions of what makes things special, I am not specifically using your Guide's Parameters. I hate to talk about other GTA's in this V Topic, but it looks like I am going to have to. For instance, in GTA III, you can obtain the BP/EP/FP Cheetah any time once Turismo Payphone Mission is enabled, and it remains on the Map even after 100%, thus it can be obtained anytime. So by your definition, this isn't a Special Vehicle, but to me it certainly is. By getting it after 100%, even if Turismo is passed or not, it requires you to fail the Mission. Even if you pass the Mission, it will add +1 to Mission Attempts Stat. To keep it at a minimum, a guy by the named of Stea1thman found a way how to get it with passing the Mission and on the first time through Turismo, thus not adding any extra Attempts, so I choose to obtain it for my Save when doing III and do it using this newer, but harder Method to avoid the Mission Attempt. Point is, whether it can be obtained one time or more than once, it's still a Special Vehicle. VC is more of the same. You can get the EC Black Sanchez, EC Black Rancher, and EP/FP Hotring Racer after 100% if you want, but they are still Special Vehicles and the EP/FP Hotring Racer can infinitely be obtained, despite how difficult it is to actually obtain. In SA, you now have the ability to convert any and every single Vehicle in the game into AP form, as well as any EC you want, too. So does that mean everything from the Story shouldn't be mentioned now that an AP Conversion exists? I might as well add, it can be done after 100%, too. Just because that exists and can be done anytime, doesn't mean the Vehicles in the game from the Story aren't special anymore. More of the same in LCS. Car Salesman and Bike Salesman are always available, thus always obtainable BP/EP/FP Cars and BP/EP/FP Bikes. 9MM Mayhem and Scooter Shooter are always available, thus unlimited change to get some Heavy Vehicles. VCS, same thing. IV using the AP/PP Conversion, same thing, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. As you can see, there has been instances since GTA III all the way on up to V where a Vehicle was obtainable as late as after 100% Completion, but that shouldn't render it NOT a Special Vehicle. This is why I prefer to follow what people originally said years ago and keep things universal. So in my eyes in terms of TLaD, those Unique Vehicles are just that, Unique. I don't care if Races are always available. Those Vehicles are still Unique in my eyes. You can basically say there is nothing special in TBoGT at this rate since Replays. Same in Chinatown Wars. Nothing is special apparently cuz Replays and can get anything even after 100%. Same goes for V, despite some of the Vehicles like the UP Vehicles in Franklin's Taxi Fares that aren't even listed in your Guide can be obtained whenever, doesn't make them any less special to something in the Story. UP = UP. Special = Special.

When it comes to my Guides, I am slightly more open to the terminology of calling something special or not. Any Proof Vehicle is special, any EC Vehicle is special, any Unique Vehicle is special, etc, etc. It doesn't matter when it can be obtained. Since one of the handful of Unique Vehicles in LCS has been called Unique since the beginning of time, it's identical to what I consider Unique in TLaD, too. 9MM Mayhem is always available to obtain the Unique/Heavy Mr. Whoopee, like Races in TLaD are always available to obtain the Unique Bikes and like Gang Wars are always available to obtain some Unique Vehicles like the Gang Burrito, Slamvan, and Comet, also being exclusively colored in some instances. Even in LCS and VCS, you can obtain FP/PP/TP/EC Race Vehicles at any time, even after 100%. Doesn't mean those are not Special Vehicles, though...

Well, they're not defined as "special" in my guide, according to the defintiion I use. But I still include them in their own section because I do agree they ARE special, in the more common use of the word. They have an attribute that sets them apart from common street trash.

One reason I have them classified as "rare" in my guides (which basically means unlockable) is that while they are special in some way, they are still infinitely available at the end of the game, once all missions and side missions (that can't be replayed infinitely) are done with. As a result, you probably wouldn't want to spend precious garage space on such vehicles, unless you don't have anything else to put in a particular space. That's why I separate them out like I do.

TBoGT I made an exception for regarding the mission replays, and even then there's some vehicles if I recall that cannot be gotten through replays due to missing the mission start or something. And the 8 club VIP missions can't be replayed. But 5's replays don't let you obtain vehicles, so that's irrelevant. Never played Chinatown Wars. Also for 5, I ignore the possibility of the final mission choice (A, B, or C) in terms of losing access to vehicles due to the wrong choice, because all it would do is create duplicate entries in different sections for what can easily be explained. There's no need to have a normal "special" listing for Deludamol Rumpo and an "unobtainable" listing for it as well just based on a different final mission choice.

Although I do include all unique plate vehicles in 5 in my guide, mostly involving the ones found in switch events and side missions you can repeat. But again, they're in the rare section, not "special," because there's no time limitation on their availability. The taxi mission unique plate vehicles still aren't in there because I still haven't actually looked into them. I do acknowledge that they exist in the end of the missions list, though. But their lack of presence in my guide is not because I don't consider them special, since they'd still go in the "rare" section of the guide.

It seems like most of this just boils down to our own distinctions when it comes to terms, but note that all vehicles you've mentioned ARE or WOULD BE in my guides, depending on whether it's a GTA I wrote a guide for or not. It's just a matter of which classification they fall under ("rare" or "special"), with the former meaning it is infinitely obtainable at the end, so there's no need to waste garage space on it.

EDIT: Could you link me to a post or PM me the "no failure" method of getting the Cheetah in Turismo in GTA3? I don't follow the "minimum missions attempted" stat like you do, but I know several people do, and I'd like to have that strategy in my guide.

And I fully understand your reasons of calling such Vehicles "Rare." But when it comes to some of them, I still like calling them Special over Rare. When I think of a "Rare" Vehicle, I think of a Vehicle that can in fact spawn on the streets, just RARELY. Like a Mr. Whoopee in GTA III, for instance, or a Trashmaster, Securicar, or Flatbed in PORTLAND so you can get such Vehicles and deliver them for Import/Export early in a Starter Save, etc, etc. THESE I find as RARE Vehicles, but the Special Vehicles do NOT ever spawn on the road, at all (unless you're driving the Unique Vehicle in the HD Era, some can then spawn on the road, which imo, is total bullsh*t). I realize Races are infinite, thus at anytime you can obtain a Double T Custom and Hakuchou Custom, but I still feel they are more special than that since you can also find the Double T Custom used by Malc in both Random Encounters and at the end of Shifting Weight. If it wasn't for Races, that be the ONLY instance it's found. I don't even see them driving around when I am driving one myself. Hakuchou Custom is the same. It's found in some Random Encounters when DeSean comes with you as well as at the end of Heavy Toll. Other than these instances, it's nowhere else in the game besides those Races. To obtain them from Races, though, requires a Race Failure. Even if all 9 Races are passed, there is a Times Lost in Races Stat that would get added +1 to obtain such Vehicles from Races and failing the Race to do so. If you get both of these Bikes from the Story or Random Encounters, you don't get anything added to the Stats. I just feel that they shouldn't be classified as Rare and instead, Unique Vehicles. What do you consider the Gang War Vehicles, then? I found a Mule with Missing Side Panels (took a Photo of it, it's in my TLaD Guide), but it can still be obtained ANYTIME, so why is it special? How about the Gang Burritos, Slamvans, and Black Comet? These aren't actually special apparently since Gang Wars are infinite. The crazy thing is, despite being infinitely obtainable, some of the Gang War Vehicles ARE THE HARDEST TO FIND AND OBTAIN IN THE GAME! I've gone through 101 Gang Wars and to this day, have not seen a single Black Gang Burrito, Black and Orange Gang Burrito, or Blue and White Gang Burrito. I've seen a Black Slamvan, Orange and Black Slamvan, and Blue and White Slamvan, though, on a handful of occasions. I've also found the Black Comet on a handful of occasions, too. But what do you call all of those Gang War Vehicles then? Still Rare? Since I am re-doing my TLaD Save, I will have to get a different 5 Vehicles to what I originally have, then. 2 are those Bikes, and 3 are from Gang Wars, and from what you are saying, they are pointless to store for a Special Vehicle Save. The other 11 I have come from the Story Missions, of course, which can't be replayed unless you start over. I may have to take 5 more from the Story if you are telling me none of the Gang War Vehicles are worth to store, etc...

You can't find this yourself? I already told you I have 9 Guides on this Forum and all 9 of them are pinned in their rightful sections. III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, IV, TLaD, TBoGT, and CW. The big difference between my Guides is I don't just write how to get the Vehicles, I have the absolute BEST METHOD which is keeping minimum Stats in mind. Not only the best Method written, but also a Video going along with EVERY SINGLE ENTRY. The only ones in which don't have Videos at this time is IV, TLaD, and TBoGT, basically. However, there is a handful of Videos out there for these GTA's, just not many. I will have to add some into my Guides when I get to updating them in the next week or two. The ones that are fully up to date as of right now are III, VC, LCS, and CW. VCS is being updated as I write this and should be finished either later today, or tomorrow morning. After I finish updating the VCS Guide, I will then do TLaD followed by TBoGT since they are rather short. At which time, only SA and IV have to be updated but will take a bit of time due to how many Special Vehicles are found within each game. I am practically going around and REWRITING the entire Entry for each Vehicle and including ALL vital information to each Entry, not leaving out huge aspects to obtain a Special Vehicle, writing the best Method and a Method which usually works on ALL Platforms, including Mobile. There is also a Unique RC Bandit in III that can be obtained from Toyminator, btw, but it's only possible on the PC Version. In my III Guide also shows the better Methods to get the EP/EC Securicar from Escort Service since there has been an old one where you use Vigilante and "break" the Mission, which doesn't work on Console and crashes the game. Again, I find the BEST Methods and ones that work for EVERYONE on ALL Platforms and provide Videos for VISUAL LEARNERS.

But seriously, this is the last time I will reply in this V Topic about unrelated things to V. If you want to talk about the other 9 GTA's for Special Vehicles, go to one of the nine Guides I made and join in the discussion there. There has been found TONS of new things you probably haven't a clue about but would if you just went and actually looked at the Guide. There is even an EC Black Conversion in the VC Guide that was recently found. At least 40 new things in the SA Guide, etc, etc. It wasn't until I made these Guides on the Forum where people really started popping out of the woodwork and finding new things and sharing in my Guides...

Well, I do understand your concern over stats, but I don't write my guides with "lowest stats" in mind. I myself avoid failing missions (in 4 and 5) and being wasted/busted, but that's usually it. It's based purely on availability at the end, with the exception of using cheats to obtain a vehicle. What vehicles you store and what you are and aren't willing to do to obtain them is completely up to the individual player.

As hard as gang war vehicles can be to find (I've only seen a couple of Gang Burritos myself), you can technically get as many as you want. Enough to fill all 14 parking spots with Gang Burritos if you wanted. Even if you're at the end of the game with all side missions and story missions done, you can still get a Hakuchou Custom, even if it costs you a race attempt you didn't win. The same cannot be said about the Regina, or Prison Bus, or many lustered/pearlescent vehicles. Once you finish Malc's random encounters, you'll never see a green/yellow Bati 800 again, but you can still conjure up a Double T if desired.

The Double T and Hakuchou Custom and Gang Burrito take work to conjure up, of course. But ultimately they aren't really any more "special" than Clay's and Terry's Diabolus, or the Innovation.

It's no different in GTA5. Do you want to spend garage space on the unique plate Taxis from the Downtown Cab missions? Or on the "Smoke on the Water" Pony? Why, when you could devote that space towards vehicles you need to get during their window of availability (usually only one mission).

Lethal Vaccine

For my TLaD, I can store 16. Luis' Apartment from TBoGT is available in my game to store Vehicles, but not save the game. I have the Episodes from Liberty City (Greatest Hits) Disc. 10 can be stored in IV, 16 in TLaD, 16 in TBoGT, and 35 in V. 13 in III, 44 in VC, 77 in SA, 12 in LCS, 12 in VCS, and 14 in CW. I've known the max capacity for quite some time now and that goes for ALL of the GTA's with Special Vehicles and storage space. I try to either fill max capacity, or literally obtain every existing Special Vehicle in the game and I've pretty much succeeded with such a task.

Yeah, I guess you are right in terms of "Rare" Vehicles. I still disagree completely when talking about Vehicles like these in the 3D Era and CW since they are Proofed in some way, thus even if it can be obtained anytime, it's still not just a Rare Vehicle due to the immunities it has. But since there is no Proofings or anything special about such Vehicles in the HD Era that can be obtained anytime, I guess it's more appropriate to call them as "Rare" Vehicles. What do you consider about TBoGT, then? Like, I have 5 Unique Vehicles (but all 5 can be obtained anytime even after the Story through Replays), then I have Packie's Vincent, but without a Luster (and again a Vehicle in which can be obtained anytime after the Story through Replays), and I have 10 EC Drug War Vehicles that literally took DAYS of reloading just to find, but again, Drug Wars are infinite, and in the case of TBoGT, so are the Story Missions, basically. So in terms of TBoGT, is my Save not as good for the Special Vehicles since all 16 can be obtained anytime? I know Random Encounters and Club Management Special Vehicles are once and done and those can't be obtained anymore, but the 16 I have don't seem special in terms of what you go by...

I guess with all this said, I need to not only re-do my TLaD Save, but also TBoGT Save. I have 11 Special Vehicles in TLaD from the Story, Random Encounters, and Stubbs' Dirty Laundry Missions which can't be obtained anymore, but the other 5 are just "Rare" Vehicles, apparently. When I re-do my TLaD Save, I figured not only would I get the Unique Prison Bus and Unique/EC/Lustered Laundromat with passing Get Lost, but I would get the EC Bati 800, EC Wolfsbane, and EC Nightblade from that one Malc Random Encounter and then the EC Black Huntley Sport and EC Habanero from Stubbs' Dirty Laundry. Thus, all 16 I have will be ones in which you can't go back to get. As for TBoGT, I will get the 6 Unique Vehicles in which, despite being able to get anytime (other than the Unique Swift with Side Doors Closed from the Club Management Mission), they are still Unique in the end. I will also get every single Club Management Special Vehicle and Random Encounter Special Vehicle. Although from doing this, I will still have room for an extra Special Vehicle or two. I could just get Packie's EC Red Comet and Packie's EC Green Vincent with Luster on a Replay I suppose. Because of Replays, though, I feel that everything in TBoGT is practically useless to obtain...

I don't need to re-do IV or V since I have no "Rare" Vehicles and everything I have in both IV and V are one time only Vehicles. In IV, I converted all 10 of my Special Vehicles into AP form, too. The only "Rare" Vehicle I guess I have in V would be the Space Docker, but since I was playing on 1.00, it's Unique and a one time only Special Vehicle. If I update, however, then it's always in the List of Vehicles inside the Interior Garages which is total bullsh*t if you ask me. Anyways, I also don't have any issues in 3D Era Games where I went for "Rare" Vehicles. Everything is surely special in those, so it's just TLaD and TBoGT I need to re-do due to the Special Vehicles I chose were not all that great in the end and some can be obtained at anytime while I skipped some that couldn't be obtained at anytime.

In terms of V, despite some Special Vehicles only being a one time event in a Mission, I still find them all lame as sh*t. A Unique Plate is so lame and hardly justifies it being Special. You can even use an iFruit App to give a Vehicle a Unique Plate. Like, you could buy a Stinger from the in-game Website and then using iFruit make it say AlphaDog. Or buy a Z-Type and make it say V1NT4G3 or whatever, etc. At the end of the day, I find Special Vehicles in the HD Era a flop, and this includes IV, TLaD, TBoGT, CW, and V. It's just not like it used to be in the glorious 3D Era of actually having a challenge and working to obtain many difficult Special Vehicles. In the HD Era, except for a few instances in each Game, they are all easy and practically give to you. The only hard Special Vehicles I can think of in IV are both the Unique Police Stockades from either Three Leaf Clover with Mission Failure or Tunnel of Death with passing the Mission, in TLaD, the Unique Prison Bus and Unique/EC Black and Lustered Laundromat with passing Get Lost, in TBoGT, a handful of Unique and/or EC/Lustered Vehicles from Replays, in CW, the BP Yankee and BP Bus at the same time while passing Stealing the Show, and in V, Ron's UP Blazer from Nervous Ron. I honestly can't think of anything more difficult to obtain in the HD Era other than a few Vehicles here and there. I would of included Gang War Vehicles and Drug War Vehicles, but apparently these are useless and not special afterall, despite some taking days and weeks to get compared to the easy as f*ck Vehicles just given to you in the Story Missions, etc...

Rare is rare. Proofings, color, license plate, doesn't matter what "special" qualities the vehicle has, they can be obtained infinitely at the end of the game. Would you consider the Rhino tank "special" in 3D era games just because it's BP/EP? Do the FP Sunshine Auto race vehicles in VC really qualify as more "special" than the black vehicles in those dirt track races? I get what you're saying about them having more and more visible "special" qualities than some random car off the street, but you can still get as many of them as you want. That I have "rare" as a classification should show that I do consider them "special," although my definition isn't quite on that target. Realistically though, I include some vehicles that ARE technically available at the start of the game should there be something significantly special or interesting enough. In my GTA4 guides, I add the Police Maverick and Annihilator, even though you can go get both at the very beginning or very end. Same for most rare vehicles in VC, since you can do almost everything at the start (even if getting to the other island can be a challenge). Hidden packages, thos black dirt track vehicles, and so on.

Basically, no matter how "special" a vehicle is, readers of my guides can know that if it's in the "rare" section, they can get as many as they want at the end of the game. So there's no need to devote garage/parking space to it. Although for what it's worth, in my GTA3 and VC guides, I DO include ALL proofed vehicles in the proofed vehicle section (unless they are unobtainable). Even the BP/FP/EP Turismo, which is technically rare, according to my definition. I also include all "unique" vehicles in the unique section, even if they are unobtainable (such as the Cargo Jet in GTA5).

Also, you asked about why luster/pearlescent isn't consdered different from EC2 earlier and I never answered. The reason is that it is NOT EC2; in 4 and 5, vehicles have one or two colors: Primary (EC) and secondary (EC2). Luster/Pearlescent is a third color category, separate from those two colors. Although technically luster/pearlescent should only be applicable to 'Metallic' primary colors, as the luster/pearlescent is what gives the Metallic color its "metallic" nature. This info is all definitely 100% true for GTA5, and almost definitely for GTA4 despite its lack of in-game car customization. If you wanted to keep with the EC/EC2 designations, lusters/pearlescents should be EC3.

About Rare, yeah, I get it now, lol...No worries since TLaD and TBoGT are ultra short Games and rather easy to go through to 100% quickly with all 16 Special Vehicles and 1 Failure in TLaD and 0 in TBoGT. I'll just re-do those Saves since some of the "Special" Vehicles I obtained as of now are classified as Rare, instead. Whereas in III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, IV, CW, and V, I obtained the true Special Vehicles and don't have any issues there. It's just TLaD and TBoGT I will re-do but it won't be for a bit since I still need to update my TLaD, TBoGT, IV, and SA Guides and also just started working another job, so my time is a bit limited at the moment, but I will get to re-doing them in the coming weeks, hopefully. Once I finish TLaD and TBoGT remakes, I am done with HD Era for sure and going back to VCS and re-doing my 49.20% Starter Save since it has 1 too many Mission Attempts. Lowest is 10, but I have 11, so I am re-doing the entire Starter Save for 1 less Mission Attempt.

Thanks about Luster and Pearlescent. Now I understand these in IV, TLaD, TBoGT, and V. However, sometimes, or at least from what I seem to read in your Gamefaqs Guides, you list some Vehicles as EC AND with a Luster. But sometimes you just say "Black Lustered Schafter with Silver Grille." Ok, so the Silver Grille is special and the Luster. But the Black isn't? But then some other times I am reading and feel like the Color AND Luster are BOTH special. It's hard for me to actually tell if you are referring to just the Color, just the Luster, or both being Special. Like Packie's Green Vincent in Ladies Half Price. Is anything special on it other than the Luster which hardly is ever there? I have that in my TBoGT Save, but mine didn't have a Luster. So does that mean it's useless? I get confused sometimes by what you are referring to as what makes it special and it goes for quite a few Vehicles...

Also, are things like these in your V Guide? I don't remember seeing them. A bunch of the Simeon Dealership Vehicles early on seem special and fnxrak has Videos of how to get some of them...

The early Simeon dealership vehicles are in my guide, yes.

As for EC cars that do have lusters, that's a good point. I'm pretty sure the dark green Vincent is unique in and of itself, although I'd argue that without a luster, it's not "AS" unique as it could be. I've been doing a lot of renovation on my vehicle guides lately, I guess that's something to keep in mind for GTA4/5 guides.

Although for that matter, I'm not actually sure which base colors on lustered vehicles in 4 are or aren't special themselves. For all I know, they are all special colors that can't occur normally, and the luster has just distracted from that fact. The luster also makes it difficult to discern whether the color is unique from in-game, since unlike other EC cars, there's no way to get a "normal" one without a random pearlescent color. I do know that the black of the lustered mafia PMP 600 seems different from the black on a randomly spawning mafia PMP 600, but that's it. But a couple I'm pretty much positive are special even without a luster, such as the dark green Vincent. Although it's important to note that it DOES have a luster, always; the only difference is whether the luster is particularly visible or not. A lot of pearlescent colors have a very tiny effect on the base color, so you may not even notice it.

Most of the vehicles in GTA5 that I've called out as special I could at least use the save editor to check the actual color of when necessary. It doesn't "prove" the color is special, but it means that it's not incredibly difficult to be reasonably sure.

I must of missed it then, as I didn't see that EC2 Schwartzer listed at all. That's another thing that, doesn't have anything to do with you or your format on Gamefaqs, but reading the print gives me a headache sometimes and I miss small details, but the background color on this Forum and the font and sh*t doesn't bother me, so it's easier to read things on this Forum and it's why I like the Guides being on here, too, and not just Gamefaqs.

Yeah, please do make some changes in terms of how you write the Vehicle in your Guides. I never know if the COLOR is special or JUST the LUSTER being special, or both.

Btw, Hazard's Save Editor now has a IV, TLaD, and TBoGT Editor added to it. It's similar to V's where you CAN check the Colors and what not in those IV Era Games. It could be a possibility for you to see what is special and what isn't, then.

Ah, ok! That was my next question which you answered. I was thinking that other than the Hybrid Grill on those PMP-600's, NOTHING else was special. So you think the Black and White are both special + Hybrid Grill? Those were some that confused me since they both look like something that spawns in traffic or parked, or something you could get from a Pay and Spray, etc.

Yeah, my Vincent is rather strange. I guess it DOES have a Luster, but is very, very faint and rather ugly. I think the Luster is Blue and hard to see it, but Blue looks like sh*t on it. I'd prefer a Yellow Luster or something and would assume that would stand out the most on a Vehicle like that. Is the Black Rims special, too? In your TBoGT Guide, I don't recall you saying it ALWAYS has a Luster, you said it only sometimes has a Luster, I believe.

Also, the Lustered Stretch in TLaD...I am pretty sure it can have NO LUSTER. You say it ALWAYS has a Luster and a Gold one, but I honestly feel like it can be Gold and NO LUSTER at all. In fact, I feel the one I have currently isn't Lustered at all, which means it's not even a Special Vehicle (another reason to re-do the Save, lol). The Black on the Stretch isn't special I'd imagine, either. I get very confused by what is actually special in terms of HD Era Vehicles. It was always better in the 3D Era where you had tons of Proof Vehicles and those are simple to know if it's special or not. Even the Colors were simple to see if they were special, since you had the ability to view Carcols.dat and see the Colors but in HD Era, only a Save Editor MAY HELP to see the Colors at this point.

Btw, there is a Video on how to get the Black Sentinel with Black Rims and Luster from that one Mission in IV (can't remember, but you need to kill a Russian as he leaves Hove Beach driving the Sentinel). You say to push it back to the parking spot after killing the guy while trying to get his body to roll out. This isn't needed. The Video shows simply killing the driver RIGHT AWAY as the Mission starts and when the Russian guy drives around the corner, his body falls out by itself and the door is left open. Can just drive it back to a parking spot, then. Some things in your Guides depict something much harder with some of the things I did myself and/or seen on Youtube...

Ah,

. Sentinel from Wrong Is Right. This is SO much easier to get than what you make it out to be in your Guide. This is why when I write my own Guides, I try and find any Videos that people may have recorded and add them into the Guide along with the Description of how to get it. What I see, I can explain a lot better, too, since I am a visual learner. I'd take Video Guides all day over written, walls of text Guides as what I am reading doesn't always make sense or happen like it did from what I can visually see and then write about. Unfortunately, everyone and his neighbor has made Videos for III, VC, SA, LCS, and VCS, but not many Videos are out there for IV, TLaD, TBoGT, CW, or V...Only random ones can be found, but I am adding in as much as possible when I go around updating them. Should finish updating TLaD Guide today and onto fixing up TBoGT Guide.

The written description of how to get the Unique Police Stockade from Tunnel of Death and pass the Mission is much better as well at this point in my own IV Guide as I made that Entry based on the way I personally obtained it and that is what I will be fixing in other Guides, too. At first I used some information from your Guides, but then later re-did these Games and it's all fresh in my mind so writing for them is easy and I rather write my own Methods in the end, too.

Funny, I'm replaying GTA4 and just got the Sentinel from Wrong is Right with my method. I usually did try killing him right away, but never could pull it off. And when I finally got the luster I wanted, I did the safe method of waiting for the scripted chase to end, then killing him.

And yeah, a new take on a lot of these vehicles would be amazing, really. I've gotten very little feedback on my guides over the years. 95%+ of people who've contacted me have been to point out a new vehicle or new strategy, without any comment on the guide quality. Or they just say stuff like "amazing guide!" that doesn't really tell me anything.

In fact, one of the biggest things that you can help contribute to my GTA4 guides is a PS3 viewpoint. I know that things involving loading and unloading of vehicles can differ (like the Skylift in Yusuf's final mission), but I've only played it on 360 so I've never been able to directly test out how the PS3 might differ. That's why I always make it clear in the ABOUT section at the top of my guides that I'm playing on the 360 version only (or the original PS2 release for 3D era GTAs). That way, people (theoretically) are aware that, if they're playing a different version, their own experiences, if different, may result from version differences, not an actual error on my part.

So basically, when playing GTA4/TLAD/TBoGT, if any of my strategies don't work, please let me know! Especially if it's something that sounds like a PS3-specific issue (like the light blue SuperGT you've mentioned).

LOL, well, I've tried to "obtain" it from Wrong Is Right, as well, by just "killing the driver," but it's surely easier said than done. I failed immediately and just didn't care eventually, since I wasn't obtaining for my actual Save. With 10 spots available, I chose the ones I liked the most, as well as the only 4 obtainable Unique Vehicles in the game and then made them AP with the Girlfriend Trick/AP Conversion. I'd do more Save Files and get more Vehicles, but it's just so long, and there is SO many Vehicles. Most are rather easy to get, though...Harder in IV than they are in TLaD and TBoGT, that's for sure.

Well, even on the Forum, there is also very little feedback for my Guides in terms of IV, TLaD, TBoGT, and CW. The most active are actually TLaD and CW of these four games and it's not saying much. There is much more people into Special Vehicles in the 3D Era, and to this day, there has been new things recently found in III, VC, SA, LCS, and VCS all since the beginning of when I made them months ago. SA is my oldest Guide, made last December 2015, so almost one year, and is 96 Pages long and has had a life time's worth of new discoveries. Conversions, OM0 Methods to get Vehicles, more Special Vehicles found, new Methods to pass Missions while obtaining the Vehicles, advanced strategies, etc, etc. I personally enjoy the 3D Era over the HD Era, too, but wanted to take a break and do IV, TLaD, TBoGT, CW, and V over these past few months and learned a ton more than I previously did. The Special Vehicles just aren't the same in the HD Era compared to 3D Era, though, which sucks. I feel Rockstar will continue to lessen what is considered a Special Vehicle in next games to come, as well.

Yeah, man. f*ck...I really did want that Super GT and tried for a good hour reloading over and over, one time saw a pretty cool Luster I wanted, too, and then figured it was unobtainable on PS3, completely. I did exactly like I saw in the Videos on Youtube,

and
. It doesn't work like this on PS3, but seems to work only on X360 and PC. zmoonchild is PC, the other guy apparently is X360. I tried and tried, doesn't work. I wish there was a way to get the Unique/EC Black Roman's Taxi in a Starter Save without Dying/Busted, though, lol...

If you would consider doing V Guide i would make videos for Unique and UC vehicles probably (Unpatched game, PS3)

Since i did save not too long ago

Also you are on updating TBoGT guide I'll install my game and record a few videos from there as well, i think.

Yeah, I can do a V Guide, but not for at least 3 months. Sometime in 2017 I will start one if you're still interested. I need to re-do some Saves before I make a V Guide.

I'll be starting TBoGT in the coming hours once I finish TLaD updating. TBoGT will be updated by Wednesday and then it's just IV and SA to update. So any Videos are good to have than none at all. I keep saying there is nothing out there for the HD Era. Everyone only does Videos for the classic 3D Era...
