Are they extra bullets from Survival jobs? Because you don't keep them past death/session change.

 

This is assuming you're a high enough rank to actually unlock the minigun (as opposed to grabbing one during a Survival). Are you?

Anyone can pick them up once the user is dead aswell. I picked up a gold one and spawn killed him with his own weapon lol.

I think Stocksyuto is onto something - if you drop the gun when you die that would explain the loss of bullets - it may be intended to force you to go back and get your gun (or ammo, as it were) - that actually makes sense if you look at it as a way of handicapping the mini-gun (ie arguably the most OP weapon in the game short of a Tank) - it would mean that you only have to put a mini-gunner down once to curtail his murder-spree.

i got the minigun in a crate and died lost the gun

same happens to me i bought 6000 rounds for my minigun i die after using about 400, spawn with 0

When you die you lose the ammo clip of the gun you are using.

If you are using it sub req level you also lose the gun.

I can't even equip the minigun during survivals, I can pick it up, but it stays greyed out. I see everyone else using them...pisses me off.

You can't use the minigun while in cover. This is most likely your major malfunction.

Same here with the grenade launcher. 5,000 for more ammo everytime. That's the gun that got me into bad sport anyways so I'll likely just stop using it lol.

Yeah this is a bigger glitch. You always have to buy 20 grenades even though you might only need 1.

thanks, I just came back here to post that I had figured it out now...ya because I was in cover everytime.....I never got an answer till now of course lol

This is correct. I had the same issue trying to take down a heli in survival but upon backing out of cover I was able to use it.
