Sabre is nice. Pretty slow though. Also why oh why ruin it with an intake on the hood?!. Two tone green bleh and I had a yellow and black one but reversed it. Looks much nicer

I for one like the intake on the Sabre, it looks good imo (some people have different taste in cars and the way they look).

They are very special cars, I for one love this car one of my favorites out of the 10 cars I have

I love the car! Spent a day trying to find it (people saying it is common are full of it) it may not be ultra rare but it has limited spawns, and only spawns when you are driving certain vehicles. I'm british and as such I hate American muscle cars hehehe but this one even I gotta tip my hat. Let me know what you think to mine folks (still undecided on wheels to buy lol):

Yesterday I was trolling people with an annihilator, then I decided to go to my apartment, tried to park the helicopter in my garage and all of a sudden I see a Sabre turbo crashing in my chopper! I left the chopper and stole the sabre. Beautiful red with white stripes!

To sum up this topic in one.

American football isn't manly, go do one.

Take the armour off first, then take a look at rugby.

The Sabre's one of the worst muscle cars in the game but one of the best sounding, looking and has one of the best mods available. It's all down to preference.

The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle is and will always be the King of Muscle cars. The car had a big 454 CI engine, 7.4 Litre engine. That pushed out 450 horsepower, 499 lbs-ft of torque. The re created that same engine for GM class 1 ton trucks since the engine could pull 10000 pounds of weight! Making it a great work horse mentality engine. Lighten a stock a Chevelle to 2500 pounds from 3500 pounds. The car could out pace a brand new stock car for Nascar with a racing transmission in it. Actually a single car driver and owner had a 454 powered 1 ton classed tow truck. His Nascar stock car engine blew up. This was before engine size regulations which really has killed the sport. He took that engine with the same amount if torque as his stock car had. He took it out of his truck, placed it in his car. Ran the track for 30 laps. Put down the fastest lap on the track with a 1990's 454 engine that had about 550 lbs-ft of torque. The Chevelle ran the same engine in 1970's when won a championship the next year with the same engine for Nascar. I'm going to find one and paint it Toreno Racing red and white stripes. Like the Iconic colors of it in Nascar.

It is nothing special, lads. So common me granny could catch one in her pinny. See them all over town.

Everyone in the world watches football, it's just a much better sport if you leave the US.

Fixed.

I love the way it looks and handles, and it sounds good too. Also has that nostalgic feel after "The Green Sabre" in San Andreas.

It's a keeper for me.

this!

I like it, although I'd pick the Dominator over it.

The very first car I loved from my racing games is the Ford Mustang. A beauty. I think I'm replacing the no-top Manana since you know. No top = easy kill for the rooftop sniper.

TIL: nothing can be black and yellow without referring to a football team

And I for one love the sabre, sounds great too.

Awesome car, have loved it through all the GTAs… is about the only muscle car I can drive well too.

This is why I stay off of these forums except for Forza. Because you people don't understand anything about classic iconic cars. Especially when you don't keep them stock.

Not rare and pretty easy to find. I have one and it's my favorite muscle car. Fully modded it's pretty sweet. Mine's matte black and looks pretty slick.

Someone I know irl has a Chevelle, the car the Sabre Turbo is most like.

Since we're dealing with GM, there's alot of platform sharing, and most cars were similarly shared amongst the various marques. Also, its GTA and "inspired" design, but while I always assumed the Sabre was a version of the late '60s/early '70s Buick Lesabre coz of the name, when you look a bit closer you'll see its actually your father's Oldsmobile, the Cutlass.

Y'know, saber = cutlass. Makes sense.

Anyways, the Cutlass also came with a 450ci engine, and earlier models were turbocharged (albeit with a smaller engine). The Chevelle never had a turbo option.

All that said, the Sabre turbo is the closest thing this game has given me to the last of the V8 Interceptors. Stick it up on offroad tires and give it the single intake blower, and its as good as it'll get.

Now with ignition bombs.

If they'd give me a roof spoiler, it'd be an even closer representation of the old Ford Falcon XB.
