Why didn't they use Johnny Klebitz as....

Johnny was a little girl pussy and a piece of trash. period. Too unbelievable. R* saw the flaw of ever making that loser a protag and dealt with it by having him put in his place by a tranny. That was the only moment I really liked in V. Very good decision. In the real biker world, Johnny Klebitz would've been laughed at. Glad that R* also humiliated him by having Tranny Trevor cornhole his skank girlfriend. That was the ultimate burn. Klebitz = trash taken out

It's just too bad that we didn't get to set Brucie on fire too.

Glad to know in the real biker world, Johnny would have been laughed at for completely wrecking a well-defended prison to silence a snitch for his brothers.

Sure, they'd stop by his grave and laugh.

What are you trying to get at? That bikers respect fake toughness over the lives of their brothers?

No, that in the "real biker world" he'd already be dead. Hence, his grave.

Explain.

Because in the real world, someone like Johnny would be the bitch getting a real biker coffee. Go hang out with bikers for a weekend. You will see nobody like Johnny Klebitz anywhere in site. And I don't mean a bunch of hipster yuppies who ride Harleys on the weekend either. I mean a real biker gang. Johnny was only in R*'s head. It shows they know nothing about real american life.

Someone watching too much Sons of Anarchy, eh? Or whatever your faggy biker soap opera is.

As someone who lived and interacted with Chicago Outlaws 1%er MC a good deal of his life, you'd know what the "real" biker is.

You rarely run into the tough guy assholes. People are like Johnny: head-strong, devoted to their club and their brothers, and take everything with a pinch of salt.

So if Johnny died because he was a "pussy", what about Terry and Clay? They sometimes exhibited the "f*ck you" attitude more than Johnny, but they died running with their tails between their legs. Why? POOR WRITING.

Rockstar probably didn't care for TLaD themselves, or realize their fans who care about dynamic story and characters are unfortunately in the minority to the two-dimensional schmucks who relish blowing things up while wearing a dress.

I've never watched Sons Of Anarchy. Also, according to you, anything other than Johnny Klebitz is "faggy" or "soap opera"???????????????????????????????? LOL

Like I said, Johnny Klebitz is just some fantasy based on real bikers. haha Nothing more. Johnny coward was more whinny than a 5 year old girl who needs a nap. Glad he got curb-stomped the f*ck out. Trevor talking to his boot was the best moment in the game, IMO, even though I don't like Trevor. It was still a cool moment and a hard burn to Johnny Klebitz that he will never recover from. Put jelly in Johnnys pockets because he is toast.

Now I agree with you about Tranny Trevor wearing a dress, blowing sh*t up. How dooby that sh*t is. R* lost their edge, starting with TLAD. Worst protag of all time other than CJ. Again, my opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. These petitions crack me up.lolol

And to the person saying that Johnny Klebitz is a modern day John Marston: Oh wake the f*ck up and smell reality--not even close. Don't ever mention a man and great protag like John in the same sentence as a wannabe whinning girl like Johnny Klebitz. Now that's some fantasy and dreaming right there. Johnny wouldn't even be man enough to shovel the horsesh*t out of John Marstons horses stall.

Johnny Klebitz is gone. Shamed in a hradcore way and never coming back. Too bad he didn't have Brucie under one of his arms when he went.

Just because you say that Johnny is a bad ass doesn't make it so. Keep wishing though. And you're right, this convo is over. Johnny is over. The story for little Johnny ended on the bottom of Trevors boot.

I wonder how people would've felt had it been CJ that got killed by Trevor.

Ha ha ! Nah, would never have happened. CJ would not even have let Trevor get that close to him, he was not some stupid, drug-addicted punk like Johnny. CJ would cap his ass in an instant.Trevor would not even see the flash of CJ's nine explode.

And out of interest why mention CJ ? Why not Tommy Vercetti or Niko ? What made you go straight for CJ ?

Cause everyone loves CJ...

No, see, everyone loves CJ for the WRONG reasons.

CJ is just synonimous with a game people are very nostalgic to. Why was San Andreas such a heralded success? It followed the way of Gay Tony, or even the unusually made fun of franchise of Saints' Row. It promoted gameplay, zainy antics, and gimmicks over a story.

Jetpacks, tanks, dildos, you're unfortunately catching the majority of the insipid audience's attention with those.

I loved TLaD and IV for many reasons, but the biggest of which being that Rockstar's priority with them first was story, characters, and appropriate atmospheres.

The Rhino was even cut from TLaD to prevent it from violating believability as a story; which it was, a believable story about a gang imploding that really had no effect on the outside world.

What's CJ doing? He's a street hood, out of the game for five years, coming back to San Andreas to rob major businesses all over Flint County, steal major military hardware both from guarded military bases and trains, and robbing casinos for the hell of robbing casinos.

Take the missions and mechanics away from CJ's story and what have you?

An individual killing relentlessly for his gang and redeeming his "past life" up until being forced to turn on his old pals and mentors in the end... Pretty much the plot in TLaD.

Though, seperating CJ and Johnny were the key difference in motivation and attitude. CJ was a bland yet quirky and charasmatic individual, just like his game was bland in its visuals, themes, and story, but made up for in the outrageous and chaotic "beat prostitutes to death" stereotype that defines GTA. Similar to Saint's Row

Johnny was gritty, bold, negative, a fatalist, but so was his atmosphere. TLaD and Niko's saga ditched the planes and the dildos in favor of telling a fantastically dynamic story which intertwined Johnny's, Niko's, and Luis's stories fantastically. Sorta like Mafia II

In a nutshell; characters represent their games. Tommy is the flashy and loudmouth punk representing the flashy and in-your-face atmosphere of Vice City.

CJ and Luis were very two-dimensional, representing their worlds of attack choppers, auto-explosive shotguns and millionaire lifestyles, but the lack of a in-depth story.

Johnny and Niko are grim and realistic, they don't steal top secret goo cor hippies or metro cars for Arab billionaires, but they make up for it with all the memorable events and dialouge. IV was unfortunately criticized for being "too serious".

And the end of the day, people really are just vouching for the characters that are vouching for their games. As it stands with the general public, zainy gameplay is always going to be favored over a good story.

With all that's planned for DLC and the GTA$, we can really see Rockstar is following the money-grubbing CoD route; shotty, over-hyped, bland, gimmicky single-player, and the multiplayer that'll leech off the player base over time.

Here's hoping for Mafia III, or someone else to pick up the biker genre without pissing all over it like Ride to Hell.

CJ would have cried his heart out and ran to his mother's grave to pray for her to shed him light.

Here are some examples on how CJ is the pussiest protagonist yet:

1)He cried when Catalina had a gun pointed at him.

2)Samuel L. Jackson gave him a low punch to the gut and he didn't even make a comeback (such a pussy there).

3)People talking over speakers gave him "Heebie-Jeebies".

4)He always did what people asked him, never doing anything on his own.

There are way more examples, but I ain't replaying such a dead game to reply to a retarded post.

CJ is a pussy, deal with it. Also, Toni Cipriani might have killed him in 1993, as stated by him "killing someone five years ago" at the beginning of LCS. So he ain't relevant anymore.

The fact that you're feeling this way and making this post is EXACTLY why Rockstar did it. It creates emotion, shock and intrigue straight away. A death like that is about a thousand times more effective than a over the top boss death. That gritty, violent and real death just made Trevor seem like he's so vicious. I guess some people don't under stand really very intelligent writing, but if it sparks any sort of a reaction then that means it's brilliant writing.

The Lost were Trevors enemies, not Michaels or Franklins.

Michael had Martin Madrazo.

Franklin had Ballas. (Not sure about a specific antagonist).

Devin Weston was antagonist of them all.

What I don't understand is why didn't they use The Angels of Death? TAoD are actually based in San Andreas, yet they're not even in the game.

Poor, cheap writing.

Also it's very clear some of you didn't like TLAD. That's fine but all the juvenile reduction is pretty lame. We get it, Johnny was a pussy biker. And Trevor was also a methhead, but supposedly he's this invincible badass. Like I said, poor writing.

He's a psycho, but he's not a likable character. No matter what angle you try to justify Rockstar's writing with Trevor, it's a game. It's fictional. Your protagonists should be likable. They could have made Trevor likable. Maybe a silent maniac? Like Hannibal Lector? Or Dexter Morgan? Seeing how they'd have to write in the silent sadist like that would be really interesting and fun to play as.

But waking up drunk in your underwear 9/10 f*cking switch events and killing or bullying a lot of the likable characters sympathetic to Trevor; Johnny, Wade, Floyd, Lester, Ron, doesn't make for a likable character.

Ending A was a damn good time.

I don't think they ever planned for The Lost as a big role. Also I felt it was done mostly just to give Trevor a big introduction, and as kind of a send off having a new protag come in and kill an old one in the first minute of his intro mission.

######

because he disliked him he did it because he got into a rage after seeing what was on the news about michael

Precisely. It was very much a case of "wrong place, wrong time" that led to Johnny's ultimate fate.

Keep dreaming gangsta.

See that's exactly the reason why people will go straight for CJ, because there are people like you who glorify him and bring him to levels of Jesus, Muhammed and Budha just because he was that one character where Rockstar allowed you to play out all those gangsta/ghetto dreams (this applies to all SA/CJ fanboys, not you personally).

As others have said already, Rockstar did this to entice shock value. They want you to feel angry and upset about his death and that's exactly what they got. It shows just how uncontrollable and out of bounds Trevor can be, and you experience that in the very first few minutes you meet him in Blaine County.

First of all, I have made an account to talk about this exact thing. I recently purchased the episodes of Liberty City with knowledge of Johnnie's death, but it did not effect my overview on him as a character as I played. After completing the game today I can conclude that the DLC is dwarfed by Balled of Gay Tony, and the death I've seen in GTAV seems fitting for Johnny, almost to the point of making hard it to care. He lacks depth, has no appearent aspirations and the ending of the DLC has no closure of what's next for him and his friends. His flaws are all the more contradicting when it came to his disagreements with his leader Billy, such as his desire for a truce with other gangs or reducing Elizabeta's "bodycount", yet he has an unsatiable bloodlust for Angels of Death. (Or, whatever they're called.) There was also no real story about Ashley ouside of her being methhead, or her relations to the Lost. In fact, it's not really known why Johnny even cares for her. Theres a few more things I could say, but I'd be going off topic.

Throughout most of TLAD Johnny comes off as as a pushover who chooses the life of crime, and that is exactly how it remains in GTAv. Johnny is too passive of individual for dangerous living and makes terrible decisions. There's nothing out of character about his death in hindsight compared to events in TLAD. The same exact thing could have happened to him from Ray Boccino. In fact this is shown during the final mission with Bily's execution. Johnny was just too soft for the life he wanted to live, so, he made his last mistake by sticking with his friends (Especially Ashley) and trusting Trevor. His death was horrific but at the same time it's to be expected when you piss off someone like Trevor.

I also just want to point out that GTA characters are dangerous, sociopathic criminals at their worst. Being one who experienced the tragedy that was Alien 3, I can identify with crappy character deaths, but here its no where near as bad.

On the note of Lois, I personally prefered him of the Episodes. Outside of player control, he had a more consistent personality, naturally confrontational and level headed at the right moments with flair of personality. Johnny, though... Well, he's got loyal biker friends, so... That's good, right?

How would they bring him back tho when Trevor can be killed in one of the endings? It's like bringing Roman or Kate back into V from IV when one of them is dead.. If you understand where I'm getting at

As Trevor's final boss instead of just

f*ckin' killing him!

like an idiot... I feel like the could've used The Lost a lot more into the story than just the f*cking beginning, did they rush it too much and decided just to kill of Johnny?? Or did Rockstar just wanted to prove how much of a badass Trevor was by single-handily kill The Lost? It would've definitely been a better story than f*cking Devon...

I didn't even like Johnny, but the way they treated his character was extremely horrid writing. The Lost and Damned died at the end of that DLC. Johnny left behind his past, he showed promise. But instead of getting his business together, Rockstar decided to move him, and the entire DEAD Lost and Damned crew out in the rear end of nowhere for some reason. Luis and Tony would've made a lot more sense to make a cameo in this game, because L.A. has a pretty decent nightlife from what I've seen.

Well said. If Luis was killed, it would of made far more sense. Trevor is more than likely a white supremacist and it seemed appropriate if Luis was killed instead. But then again, Blaine County isn't the kind of place where nightclub bouncers live in. Johnny was made out to look like a pussy and that just isn't correct.

Johnny and co. breaks to prison: Unbelievable, would end up as a dead wuss.

CJ singlehandily steals a jet and a jetpack: Believiable.

WTF is with you, certain people?

And I guess, if Luis was killed instead of Johnny, people would complain that R* is racist for killing their favourite character.

If Trevor had killed off the Lost in a longer feud, I would have loved this game even more.

One image that keeps running through my head is a loading screen artwork featuring Johnny sitting on a parked Hexer, holding a sawed-off and scowling with several members of the Lost on their bikes and some Lost MC vans parked behind them with the desert as a backdrop.

I think TPI should have had a longer and more dragged out feud with not only the Lost MC, but the Aztecas as well. Imagine the extra missions we could have had. Not only would that have given us a longer storyline, but it also would have brought us more on TPI, given us an iconic mission or two, properly written off the Aztecas, given TLaD fans closure, built up Chef and Ron more as characters and let us explore Blaine County and the northern part of the map more.

Same here. I felt like The Lost, and especially Johnny, could have been great for Trevor's side of the story. They could fight each other, Trevor could get back up from his friends, it would have been awesome. But nope, just

killed them ASAP
