Stimulus Package Indefinitely Delayed

Who cares? I've glitched enough for the 400k house,all the supercars,boats,tank,dump,planes. with 60,000,000 to spare. GTA Online is a joke,launch failure,cash cards, and just plain boring with over 700 missions of "go here get this and bring it back" and freeroam is just boring. Add on the removal of the Grand Theft Auto aspect and the new encouraging a peaceful community with the Bad sport system and well... I honestly dont care what sh*t* does,come next gen everyones gone. All i do now is grief and troll and hand out Troll Trucks. The night before the ps4 launch on the 15th I'll be doing the share cash hack to give everyone money,ban me for all i care I'm shooting my ps3 with my Saiga as i the tradition of destroying every old generation console.

And did you really think they would just hand out 500k when they have more than enough glitchers to deal with having hundreds of millions of dollars.

I didn't know that it was difficult to give players 500K in cash... Just another in the list of things Rockstar's lied to us about. In the advertising, they- at least implied- that we would get heists, the content creator and other features early in the game. It's been a month and they still haven't even completely fixed the servers after what must be a record-breaking 4 updates in a single month, with the only issue really being fixed being the medical bills.

 

The most bizarre thing, though, is what Rockstar has blatantly left out- from airplanes in missions like Death From Above or clothing shown in the trailer (In the section where the character gets a haircut, he wears clothing that isn't available in game) and really should be. The beach bum pack is clearly stuff which should've been available in the base game as well. The worst part is how they don't give any dates for anything- it's always "sometime next week" or "early November" or something equally ambiguous.

 

1) Where did they lie? They haven't said they're NOT giving it to us period, just that it's getting delayed

 

2) Long-term for multiplayer games = years. It hasn't been 1 month yet. If you want everything right away play a single player game. This is normal for multiplayer games. "Right away" for multiplayer games tends to equate to the first 6 months

 

3) If you're really this impatient about the game then you shouldn't be playing it. Go live in a 3rd world country, come back, and say the same thing.

 

They've told us "it will be released next week" for 2 weeks. That still constitutes as lying, and it's still deception. They explicitly said that it would release a week after they said it, then revised their statement to say that it as being pushed back for "server stability." If they're too incompetent to release it stably, then they should just say that, or at least not announce a release date until they know when it will be.

 

Yeah, but in case you haven't noticed they didn't really plan for that very well. There's already plenty of people (myself not included) who have reached the top level and gotten fully maxed out everything. There's nothing in the game designed for long term playing- levels are quick to reach and there's practically no variety in missions apart from 3-4 types (go here, kill him/go here, fetch drugs/go here, fetch vehicle constitutes most of the missions in game). There's no real endgame content, unless you want new camo fatigues or an RPG or minigun. Rockstar feels like they need to hold our hands because we're too dumb to play the game- "No, play the singleplayer for two weeks so you can see what we did! Wait several weeks for heists so you can enjoy all the grinding in game! Wait several weeks for the content creator, so we can let you make the missions that will actually be fun!"

 

This is the most incredibly stupid, cliche argument. Should I just force myself to only eat rice and drink bacteria-infected water as well? Should I move into some dangerous shanty-town? I shouldn't compare my life with someone whose life is worse than mine and be content with it- I should be looking at Sweden and going "Man, I wish I had that nice of a life! I'd better work hard so I can live like that!". It's a much healthier mentality. This isn't a matter of patience, but rather a matter of how Rockstar has been very dishonest with their customers. When I paid my 60 dollars, I expected a working product with all of its advertised features. I did not get that. When you have an entire trailer dedicated to online, half of which isn't even available over a month over launch, I have every right to be aggravated.

It's ok because by the time they do give it to us we'll of earned double that plus they would have to multiply it by a good amount to make up for how long it took them to release it.

Who gives a sh*t if people have money to buy things in the game. It makes the game fun. Rockstar should smarten up, accept failure for their attempt with cash cards and work on releasing DLC's with sweet new cars, activities, and game modes. Its fake f*cking money for f*ck sakes and NOBODY CARES.

This stimulus package pretty much deters anyone from buying cash cards in the near future, meaning R* are willing to lose cash card money to get the fans back on their side. It might not wash over everything that's happened in the past month but it's a welcomed start.

Interesting how you say the 3rd world country argument is stupid. If you lived there for a while, you wouldn't be taking such things like petty little things in games for granted. That's the whole point of that argument. Go ahead, say it's a stupid thought. All it spells is ignorance. Don't take things for granted. Enjoy the game. That's what a game is for, enjoying.

 

You don't sound like someone who has a lot of experience with mmorpgs. For your information, GTAIV did not have an mmorpg focus. Think more in terms of games like Guild Wars, Eve Online, WoW, etc. All of those games had issue the first few months. GTA V is no exception.

 

So rather then whining and complaining like a 5 year old, enjoy the game. Would you rather the game not came out at all?

The Stimulus package isn't indefinitely delayed, it's delayed until the money bugs are ironed out. That link isn't official and only quotes Rockstar stating the same thing we all already know. Topic Locked.
