Infinite Mercenaries Glitch?

So I killed 3 bounty targets in one car. They were running, I drove up behind them and shot them all. One of them then sent mercenaries after me. I killed them, and they kept coming. More than 10 sets came for me before I had to leave. Anyone know about this?

No, that's not how it works. Whenever I call them, one set gets sent, and if they fail, that's it. You have to call them again.

Whenever they have been sent for me before, I kill them, and then no more come. I tested it with a friend.

 

I called them on him (he agreed). He shot them all, and I got a call saying they had failed. He didn't even run away.

Well I called them on my friend, and a random, and watched from my TV as they took out jeep after jeep until they finally died.

 

Then I tried it again, and my friend escaped in his Elegy.

This seems to be really inconsistent. I had never experienced this before, so thought it was glitching on me. I'm pretty sure only one set is supposed to show up.

I was sent mercs before and it was one set, no waves of them. Must be inconsistent and buggy, like a lot of GTA:O.

They should make it waves. A lot more difficult and fun. I actually enjoy mercs after me, because it's a thrill.

I send merc on people all the time and they're usually 80% successful. Then I finally had one called on me. Drove away in my Amg Benz and got away in less then a minute? I was also in Blair's county so I'd cut through the mountains. But I was surprised with how weak they were. 2 minutes tops I ditched them not a scratch on me

I wandered into a lobby that had 8 people from the same crew and they chain spawned mercs. i just kept driving and they weren't a problem.

Someone called them on me at the airport, I killed two waves before it stopped.

 

It may work similarly to a wanted level, where you can lose it by hiding. Not sure.

Happened to me once after claiming a bounty on this guy, but before I get to kill one, the rest disappears along with their car. I still wonder if that will make the waves longer, but he came and ambushed me before I could test it.

Of course I was killing them. However, when my friend killed them, no more came after him.

Of course I was killing them. However, when my friend killed them, no more came after him.

 

Yeah you're right. This does happen. Me and a mate have sent mercs against each other, most of the time it's over in a quick sticky bomb but i've heard my mate on the mic "why do they keep coming" lolol! I have no idea why and i don't think anyone can be sure

i personally have only seen 2 jeeps come, but have heard from enough others that it is usually 3 mesa's.........enough people that till i see an endless convey of mercs, im not believing it happens.

 

unless its a glitch......makes calling the mercs much more interesting/useful

Someone called mercs on me and I killed them. Then 8 red dots showed on my screen. Some could not get to where I was but I had to defend myself from more mercs. It was a neat trick. Usually I just have to deal with one jeep of them.

I have had instances where it was only 2 jeeps, and at other times 6-10 before I gave up and drove away. Very inconsistant each time it seems.

They send the cool jeeps when they attack? I might have to call a round on someone just to get my hands on one of those jeeps. :)

I've got numerous people these jeeps.. MAX 4 jeeps show up, and you can only call it on one person at a time. If another person tries it says there's to much bandwidth at the moment call back later.

I set Mercs on a guy earlier. He dispatched the jeep's occupants with ease but then two more rocked up and killed him.

I've got numerous people these jeeps.. MAX 4 jeeps show up, and you can only call it on one person at a time. If another person tries it says there's to much bandwidth at the moment call back later.

I saw more than 10 jeeps. It was insane.

I don't have a top ten list of unfunny lame trolls but if I did....

 

 

Anyway I had this happen to me once. Now every time a player sends mercs after me I sh*t my pants. Don't know if I'm going to have to deal with a couple trucks or a convoy
