Does this vehicle actually spawn online? If so could anyone give advice on spawn locations?

Yes, spawns rarely if you drive other suvs.

Had one but the customization options are so poor i said no.

I used the Granger until recently but that's listed as an SUV and wasn't very good off-road. Had a look at a vehicles list and the Rancher seems like the best option for off-road vehicles. If you have any suggestions I'd be grateful :)

found mine a few blocks from Gerald's house. I was driving a Sadler when it spawned. also have a snowy Rancher that's painted just like a Suburban I had irl...

Racher XL's spawn all over the airport and the LSC near it. Also can be seen outside of grove street.

 

The more common Bobcats (both variation) XLcan be seen above sandy shore and all over around lesters house and the docks.
