Sorry for the 20x billion thread on this or whatever..
but since the latest update. my playtime for ONLINE has been sh*t 99.9 percent of the time i'd play for like 2 minuites and I'd etheir

1) Every player will magically all kick me instantly for no reason
2) Every player will leave at the exact same time.

Now I know this ISNT my connection. I tested this on various games like Uncharted 3, The Last Of US and RE6 and it was fine on all of them. I can't even play with anyone. not even my own crew in private sessions.

Sorry to tell you, but it's obviously a problem with your connection to the servers buddy.

how the heck did that happen? It was perfect before the update. then as soon as the update was released. BOOM. What's it trying to do? connect me to the US servers or something?

Wouldn't have a clue tbh, but it's probably worth having a chat to RS about it.

 

Personally, whenever I have connection issues, I reboot my wifi router and 10/10 times it works flawlessly afterwards.

I'd have some trouble restarting it. Multiple people in my house use the router, but i'll try your idea after contacting rockstar. Here's to hoping they dont resort to there "Lets link you to lost characters forum and claim your solution as solved without looking at it" tactic. but thanks anyway man.

Make sure you have the correct NAT type. (Google it)

did the requirements for it suddenly change or something? cause I'm pretty sure I didnt make any changes to my router recently and as I said. It was working completely fine before this update.

Generally ive been good. The last couple days have been sh*t. Cant join lobbies with people even though it isnt full. Kicked from sessions. Tonight has been the worst for me in weeks. Just tried changing my DNS to googles to see if it helps any. I know its not my internet as other games work perfect.

Ive had alot of issues with the connection to R* and out of a million advices, these 3 are the only ones that helped - fiddling around with port forwarding and advanced router settings is a waste of time ...

 

1. Restart router - some routers degenerate over time and restarting it might help

2. Change you dns settings to something public - like google dns ... primary 8.8.8.8 secondary 8.8.4.4

3. Try disabling or enabling your uPnP on your ps3 (network settings)

 

Rockstar will tell you that its on your end, but fact is that every other online game out there doesnt have these issues .... so go figure ...

Just checked network settings today and I cant select PnP as an option. It's there in the list but I can select it. I tried resetting everything on PS3 so lets see if it works

Could it possibly be someone within your game driving around in a modified tow-truck? I know this is usually the cause of large amounts of players leaving a session at the same time.

Good idea, but nah. its too do with connection issues. If someone was trolling, no way in hell would everyone leave at the exact same time, everytime.

including the troll.

it worked dude. number 3 did. I just told it to refind my modem again and it worked. :D
