MSanti98 Posted October 27, 2013 Share Posted October 27, 2013 I just finished doing a fresh re-install for GTA4 and now it will not respond after i launch the game. When i try launching the game it will go through the trademark and the rockstar and GTA4 symbol and then it'll blackscreen and nothing happens. If not, go here. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Are you having the latest version of Games for Windows Live Installed? If not, go here. http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=5549 Now re-install GTA IV and re-start your PC. EvilDog77 Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 There's a bug going around at the moment that results in the symptoms you have described. I also have this bug. The game loads and presents the Rockstar logos, then the disclaimers, then a black screen. After about 45 seconds to a minute the character select screen appears.
