Dzqnn
Have you ever tried this ? I want to ask you cause I don't have the game (I'm PC gamer and waiting it).. Have you tried since the game is out, to follow any peds and see how their day passes ? I mean are they going work at the morning, then go back to their houses or something else ? Please tell me how is the AI in GTA V. Thanks beforehand Edited October 27, 2013 by Dzqnn
Senor_taco28
Sadly no. They are like GTA 4, they're just kinda there. I wish what Rockstar (if it was them who had said that about peds) hadn't lied about that, and many other things.

CarimboHanky
like 3 weeks ago, i choose ped and decided to follow him, from a distance of course to prevent him from callin the cops. and for hours i follwed him, he walked, when to a few stores, took the bus, smoked, talked on the phone, chatted with people on the street, then took a bus and walked to a home, stood in front of the house for couple minutes then when to the back of the house where he disappeared. i say there is a lot of programming for something most people wont even care. so, i would say peds mind their own business. next time i would try to do a full 48hours(ingame) surveillance. tom_p1980
donnii
I've never thought of trying this. I'm going to do it the next time I play.
Udrift
I don't think they would have to program each individually, just make a program to send them to random places. Certain classes of NPCs could be limited to certain places, but it could be done with a randomizer. You wouldn't want to program said NPC to take 50 steps, stop and read the paper and wait for a cab, go to said place and work.
McGyver55
I followed an escaped pig around for about 45 minutes one night before I realized I had too much to drink and it was way too late... Like 10 seconds after I walked away there was an explosion where the pig was... never found the pig, never found what exploded. I no longer trust the pigs... nor the cows... I think its a whole Far Side conspiracy and the farm animals are behind the UFOs and Chiliad mural... think of how poorly it is drawn... only a cow could devise so complex a mystery. Really?? Seriously? That would be sick if they had their own lives like that. But today I followed some worker or something, near my car, and in the end I and him ended up back at my car, and at that time I stopped following him because I thought he would just go in circles. Bertanius
You can't go near pedestrians as they automatically call the police on you. GTA V has the worst ped system I've ever seen in a game, they don't know how to do anything, they don't have any form of an AI system, can't pathfind, so they always crash and walk into walls, unable to escape, and are overly sensitive, if you jump a fence the whole area of peds runs off screaming... I don't know why they thought this was acceptable, but don't go near the peds, or even bump them, bumping them automatically gives you a 1 star wanted level. As for them going around? Nope, they usually just walk in circles, around a block, or do some scripted animation, it gets really boring, pedestrians don't act with the world, they just stand there, doing animations, looping repetitive stock quotes. I hope they announce the PC version soon, mods and trainers can fix this half-finished game.
Mr_Goldcard
One time I was near the tennis court with Michael, and Michael said "hey how are ya" to a woman sitting on a bench, she called the cops and me and I got a 1 star level and was arrested by the police
Murad96
bumping them automatically gives you a 1 star wanted level. That's not true. They might want to fight you, but if you walk away they shouldn't fight you OR call the police. Edited October 28, 2013 by Murad96
cholesterol
R* never said peds would have a schedule, maybe some stupid corporate hack reviewer did, but not R*. The only negative thing about peds for me is the repetitiveness of them and their voice actors. Also, the whole insta-wanted level thing about the peds is bullsh*t. VERY FEW automatically call the cops while most either run or fight you. Edited October 28, 2013 by elburrosleftnut

And when you go in a taxi, but that makes sense at least, because it's all one company.
