Are grove street families dead in both the 3d and Hd universe in gta?

They were present in 3D era, but they aren't in HD era. Presumably the set was disbanded just before the Ballas took the Grove St.

Actually, the name always was the The Families, both in 3D and HD.

In 3D there were different sets for the families but the game was more focused on the Grove Street Set, as in one misión you have to pull Sweet and his Girlfriend out of the Seville Boulevard Set, which was hostile to the Grove but still being part of The Families. By the end of the game the Grove became the strongest and largest set of all.

In the HD Era is the same.

But the Grove Street set was disbanded, several members moved out and the place was eventually taken by the Ballas.
