Thanks for this thread Mac it's been quite helpful, especially the verses of the Epsilon tracts.

 

After reading the passages several times and trying to root out the satire from the clues here is my theory.

 

The peach tree and apple tree refered to in the tracts represent Mt Chilliad and Mt Gordo, with Chilliad being the peach tree and Gordo the apple. I came to this conclusion after finding the lake on Mt Gordo, because the lake seemed to greatly resemble what is in the text about it being clear, near it are both the dead-looking Gordo trees and a few living ones etc. (it may be foolish to look for an actual lake when it is speaking in so many metaphors but I feel the area does fit the text, its possible lake could be something else entirely.)

 

To me this idea of the two trees being the two mountains came from the design of the hippy camp, both seem to be connected in some way and with what it refers to in the text about the peach tree and fire (many theories that Chilliad may be a volcano) and this passage from

 

Chapter 2, Verse 3:

 

"By even thinking a question, you are

likening yourself to the volcano that sucks lava into itself and explodes

down, causing the entire paradigm to implode and a mighty race of super beings

to be cast adrift into space, as happened once and must never happen again."

 

There's a volcano here somewhere I know that much.

 

Plus I don't feel like the fact that you can do yoga on top of Mt Gordois for no apparent reason.

 

The text also speak of having red hair being unsavables etc, this could be an inside joke since GTA is originally Scottish (the ancestral home of redheads!) or a further clue which lead me to trevor (look at Mrs. Phillips) or maybe calling up jimmy to hang out and treking up the mountain at 3 am with rain or whatever?

 

It's all theories until we can test them, and I too am not at 100% yet. But currently I think we should focus on the supposed 4th Flying UFO over the city. People with "inside knowledge" seem to be pushing us towards that goal and saying more will become clearer once we find it? Check the Observatory they say. Does finding it start a mission? Someone needs to go there at 3am with rain and use a telescope?
