OP, I have a question for you (and this is not an "anti-glitcher" rant before anyone goes on the defensive - stolen a few dollars from LSC myself) - are you a little worried that you've been catapulted to the end of your game?

 

To some extent, I totally get the sheer joy that comes from being able to play without worrying about the cost of every last bullet (which sucks, and I would say is a major contributor to the glitching endemic), but by the same token I personally would not want to have so much money that there's no reason to run jobs - with that kind of wealth, you're at that point where it will be tough to resist buying up tanks and helis, airstrikes-by-the-dozen and car bombs in Adders - you know, end game stuff, ie the stuff you do in GTA right before you put it down.

 

I guess this is a 'burn fast & bright vs smell the roses" question - but what capped out my money-generating spree was me not wanting the game to be over yet, and I feared unlimited wealth would bring me closer to that day.

 

Agree/disagree? As someone in the very position I chose to avoid, I'm genuinely interested in your opinion.

He posted about it on the forums a few days ago. It was something like: "I can give you million of dollars, send me a request and I'll give you a couple of millions".

People did not belive him, and he got bashed instantly, people called him liar, fa**ot and you name it.

I choosed to add him. Why? Because what if he was saying the truth?

 

Anyways, he accepted my request, send me an invite to his invite-only session, and he gave me about 74million spread out over about 30 minutes of playtime. He was quite a nice guy. About 18-24 years of age judging by his voice. I cannot remember his name at this exact moment, and I'm not at home all weekend, so I cannot check my friendlist on my PS3 either.

 

I have yet to hear about anyone being banned. It doesen't matter what the chrime was, glitching, hacking, modding cars into MP, you name it. I have yet to hear about anyone being banned.

Someone submitted a ticket on R*'s support page about this exact issue the other day. He joined a random session, and a hacker gave him alot of millions. He wanted R* to remove his money because he was scared of being banned, but R* declined, and said something in the line of: "IF you get banned, send us a ticket and we'll resolve the issue".

"If" being the keyword here. It does not seem like they care alot at this point of time.

 

If they choose to ban me however, I can just say that it wasen't my fault. That I just joined a random session and was given the money against my will and consent.

I play only for free-roam. I love going around doing random stuff with my friends.

All the money I have now have not made the game less fun. It wasen't the least bit of fun to grind missions and races to get money and reach required ranks to get specific stuff. Once I reached level 100+ and had money to spend, the game started to get alot more enjoyable.

 

I guess it's how you look at it. I understand you point, and who knows? I might get bored a week from now.

All I can say is that I'm enjoying the game more than ever now, not having to care about money is a huge plus for me.

You got more than I have! Glitched about 11 million but spent mostof it. Think I am down to 3.6 mil now. NIKON just do the lsc glitch its piss easy to do. Sell a sultan or dominator full modded

I have been doing it that way, but I haven't been in many races so the best mods such as the turbo and sh*t are still locked for me, hence I can't really increase the value of my motors. I have the Sultan etc and majority of the rare cars, all I need now is the Prison Bus, so I duped the Hearse which was valued at $70,000+ a pop. It's just buying ammo etc that really takes your cash after a while, plus C.ockstar will probably fix the LS glitch as soon as next week, so I'll be on their radar if I'm selling motor after motor but feck it, I'll just keep glitching anyway whilst the iron is hot.

Some hacker ever gives me money

Gonna be angry. I know a few people that had this happen and they liked it at first but now they feel the game lost a lot of its fun.

 

I'm broke as a joke. I do a mission get 5-15grand, buy ammo or some upgrade and back to being broke until the next mission. Sounds horrible but truth be told I like it. Those 25,000 bulletproof tires are something I have to earn. Like I said someone takes that away from me I'm gonna be heated. Here's one other thing I don't get. From the very start people come on here and act like they are upset about when someone gives them

Money yet the easy solution is just to ask in a lobby if anyone wants a ton of money. Someone is going to say yes.

If Rockstar view your stats, you'll have an ungodly amount of cash under the Give/Received so I imagine it'll be reset.
Mostly not your character, but that portion of your balance.

That's correct. Theres an instant and solid argument in your defense *if* R* chose to ban.

 

 

But I really don't think Rockstar can ban anyone. My theory is the vast majority of what occurs in this game happens in a kind of pseudo-offline mode. Nothing at all is really processed by the servers. All the servers really do is store data. Everything is done client side, which is synced at intervals, rather than there being always connected. This makes this game different to say, WoW or many other MMOs. Even the players you see running around are connected p2p. This is no dedicated server network we're talking about here. They can not ban you, but they can only alter your matchmaking pools. But they could I suppose opt for Sony / MS to handle any potential bans.

Peopl have 2-3 accounts they are gliching with and giving away money to anyone so when they send some to their main character it doeant look odd. Making them get the glitcher account banned but not there real one

I confess to the same feeling of freedom when I made the move to ill-gotten gains. I still think I stopped about the right place, but you'll get no argument here that it's better to have a lot of cash and not need it than need it and not have it.
