I was kinda disappointed about the story, many characters were downright unbelievable. Let´s take Martin Madrazo for example. GTA wiki says that he is the leader of moth ruthless Mexican narcotic gang in Los Santos area, yet he is perfectly fine with Trevor kidnapping his wife and cutting his ear off... come on, where is the ruthlessness?

 

IV had repetitive missions but the story was good, the characters were good. It can not be impossible to have good missions like V had AND good story aswell. RDR, LA Noire, Max Payne 3... all previous R* games had great stories, what went wrong with this one?

Yeah a story as good as from Max Payne 3 would have been great. But MP3 is much shorter and not open world.

I think i will play it later again.

I kinda stopped reading at "gta wiki says". Unless it was edited by the rockstar employee that created the Martin Madrazo character the you shouldn't pay too strong attention to it. His Mob boss days could have been years and years ago, and now his in a retierment stage of his life, hence the living in a farm and having a house in the hills, secret from his wife, with a younger lady living there... a bit of hanky panky!

So you are trying to say that Martin Madrazo is a realistic character? So if I kidnap a wife of some Los Zetas leader and cut his ear off, he will not do anything? Even if he is retired, he still had his thugs who he could have sent to kill Trevor.

I think it's because Rockstar couldn't care less about the story, they were just so money hungry they rushed it to get onto making multiplayer, disappointing. I liked IV's story more, the characters had so much more emotion and power, both the protagonist and antagonists were done really well, but for GTA V, the antagonists didn't really contribute to anything, and didn't show any emotion, they were seen for a few missions, and suddenly disappeared, never to be seen again. The protagonists were pretty good, but still didn't show as much character as Niko did.

He did send thugs after Trevor... as soon as you enter LS you would be haunted by MM's employes and they were pretty tough...

I dont like the martin character for much the same reasons, at the start of the game you tear his shagpad down and he doesnt just put a bullet in michael's head and force franklin to repay the debt which is how earlier gta bosses would have dealt with things. but then in online martin gives you a job to kill the woman who lives in that house. martin moves in mysterious ways i guess.

It's just a lot of bad decisions, poor writing and design choices that make V - just mediocre, at best. This one was a flop. It sold so many because of reputation.

True that, now they're just rolling around in their money and doing THIS with each other (see below).
