Martin Mission, death from above is ridiculous

Failed 3 times today and last time 5/6, I called merryweather for hydra attacks but that didn't help at all. It's annoying many guards attacking you + police wanted star level 3 with heli and you have to take a pic lol, mission impossible.

I just drive all the way inside to the back, kill the 1 or 2 guards near the target and then kill the target, take the pic and then die to lose my wanted level. Easy pros!

It's not THAT hard, I did it with 1 other random on our second try. I took the photo underneath the balconey when the other guy aggro'd 80% of the enemy. Keep trying

Also cops should come after i taken the photo, this way is better than all together like 20 bots against me from everywhere

It's not that difficult if you have a good team but the reward money is laughable and the cops are beyond annoying.

The only time we did it was when we stormed in and spammed sticky bombs lol, The "Death from above" parachuting technique fails miserably. But yeah the payout is nowhere near worth all that effort, Same with most missions these days unfortunately.

I did it on my own. Initially had 2 other crew members with me but they died almost instantly, just ran in, shotgunned some guards, snapped the photo and drove off. Easy.

We did it a way back when we didn`t know much. We kinda burned our lives early so I was left to try and do it.

 

How I did it was hilarious, but got us the payment after 30 mins . Go, steal a fast and sturdy car, park close, kill as many as you can before police is onto you, run and lose 3 star level, rinse and repeat until you can take pic.

 

Probably I did it in the least recommended way possible, but it worked . Technically it can be solo if you have the time.

Just park your car near the back door, get out your shotty, take down the guards close to the back door. When they are dead, sprint to the pool on the right, quickly switch to SMG. Take out the target and the 2 guards, and take cover behind the table the target was behind. Take out the incoming guard, then snap the picture.

 

From here it is shoot your way out and flee in your car, or just die.

Find a heli, snipe out the guys on the roof and land that bad boy on it. Hence the mission name "Death from above".

 

From there on, you'll have a great vantage point to take out the rest of the guards. Once you've snapped the pic, either die and lose your wanted level, or if you're ranked high enough you can give Lester a call to remove your wanted stars for a measly $500.

 

This mission is difficult when you do it on foot.

We beat this in the dumbest way.

3 players.

First player suicide run at the target, target dead but player dead.
Second player ninja'd in while the attention was on first player. takes picture. Picture confirmed, but by this time AI run out of things to shoot, kills second player.
Third player was parked in Martins driveway all along. Mission completed.

The payout was so sh*tty we never did it again though.

Yep - hate this one - payout is just not worth the effort - although I'm liking the 'snap pic then die' method - seems the most efficient way to complete it.

Lol @ the "it doesn't pay enough crowd." To each his own, but is the only "payoff" you get from playing any mission in the form of pretend dollars? It took my team a couple of time to get through that one initially, but it was a lot of fun. If all you're thinking about is the $5k or whatever, yeah, there are easier ways to get that kind of money fairly quickly.

I think for most of us its more of a 'It wasnt fun.' So when it isnt fun and it paid poorly, why bother? In comparison there are some missions which are mediocre, because of how straight forward boring they are, but they pay enough that when they come up in the mission list, the 5 minutes of effort is balanced by the payment.

 

But then there are missions like Death From Above and High Priority Case, which have no redeeming features.

Beat it solo by myself last night. Killed myself with explosions the first time. 2nd time drove right in to the gate, hopped out rounded the corner, 2 guards/target, take picture. I was in my car to leave as the police where showing up.

 

Do agree way to much heat/goonies for $5k. but its not that hard really.

Never did this one, I got a list with the payout and I don't do missions with a payout lower than 10k

I did it alone with my shotgun, it's not that hard if you just make your way to the target in the shortest way and move carefully. Once you make the picture you can die.

I don't think you should play this game with the objective of getting rich. Especially this fast.

 

It's not even a month old, heist aren't out yet and lots of DLC to come. Map expansions are also a guarantee according to what R* have said about their intentions with GTA online.

 

I say f*** whatever the payout is, just have fun doing the missions for what they are. The big payouts should be rare and they certainly shouldn't be easy. Which is why I think R* have done the right thing in cutting the money earned from jobs.

Ya its silly hard. If you just go in quick and shoot the dudes up you can get the gates to close behind you and not have to worry about the cops for a couple minutes. Eventually they start pouring in though occasionally. Sometimes when I goto leave I can't get the gate to open up for me. Its obnoxious. As mentioned easiest way to lose cops is just to die.

 

I really hope they release a mission editor beyond the totally worthless deathmatch mode (especially the auto aim ones) because then we could actually have some more interesting missions beyond the 3 or 4 that exist.

Where can you find a heli in a mission? I tryed to find one in the airport and the two landing strips up north but none there either.
