Some stats are lost, your rank is apparently not. Happened to one of my crew-mates the other day too - His 'crewrank' has been reset, but not his actual rank.

This happened to me last weekend, except with much larger loss(close to 25 levels). They did not come back even though Rockstar assured me over and over that the stat progress was just "delayed" and not lost. Just log off for the night and start back up in the morning, this could happen to you all weekend.

As i said his actual rank stayed intact and all his stuff on his character was still there - His stats on the other hand are still gone.

My lost Ranks from last weekend never came back. Game won't let me go past Rank 28. No matter what, my skills save, money etc. My Rank always resets to 28.

all major online game release's have these kinds of problems - It's best not to get attached to characters or anything until after the first month at least. it's a mixture between fixing code, fixing servers, and ADD people who can't wait 4 weeks leaving. - when STO's population dropped the server's were magically fixed. - if everything else fails next week all the CoD/BF heard will migrate over to the new systems and all will be right with the world.

 

 

With the exception of E.A., game companies don't release the "sorry for the rough launch" gift until they have things stable. - New patch coming next week, and R* seems to think that's when they'll be dishing out the cash.... http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire

I didn't lose a character through all of the beginning problems, but I lost mine at random a few days ago. Rockstar closed my support ticket and gave me an automatic response about the stimulus, which doesn't cover anything because $500,000 is not adequate compensation for losing a level 120 character.

 

The sad part is, if they release GTA Online on the next gen consoles, I'll probably pick up the game again. But I'm not playing it anymore on my 360.
