Basically, you press a button that allows you to quickly say some words or send a text message via the phone. These would be pre-created messages like "sorry" or "get in" or "I mean no harm."

 

These would also show up to dead players. Let's say you accidentally killed another random. You'd have lets say 10 seconds to send a quick message.

The accidental killing thing could make sense, but quick messages in normal free-roam simply don't have enough use.

No bit it sure as f*ck helps out on missions when you try to tell someone something but since they don't have a mic they f*ck sh*t up.

 

 

Free roam I couldn't care less about. I've had enough of hearing people cough into the mic or hearing them yell at their kids.
