How to keep collectors edition guns?

I have a friend who is trying to give me the limited edition guns online. I have heard people making them stay but they do not stick when I go to single player and come back. does anyone know how to get them to stick?

I want to know too. I dropped my bull pup shotgun in front of my friend. They picked it up and saved. Then they went to another session and it was gone. How can they keep it forever?

Buying the Collectors Edition will make the weapons stay as they are DLC along with the cars

Ill buy it when it comes out in a few months for purchase as an official DLC but if your suggesting buying the code off ebay you have not seen the price lately. as to my knowledge you cannot buy the collector's edition around here we have one gamestop and they were not selling it.

Other people have said they get to keep them thats what started this

This could be ban worthy, considering R* will almost positively sell these collectors edition items as stand alone DLC in a couple of months.
