I'm mostly incapable of love as in romance with somebody. At first I thought you were just having trouble understanding yourself and a possible asexual situation like myself and you were unaware of existing but this...I can't say I compare to this type of "lack of love" at all. I love my parents and sisters and friends.

 

Have you experienced a lot of emotional stress lately? My guess is you're experiencing emotional trauma and feel somewhat apathetic and lack specific emotions for the time being or at least feel really dulled. Things like that just fix their selves over time if they're not so severe.

 

It probably has to do with certain things I saw as a child. I grew up in a dysfunctional family. My grandfather was a murderer, my uncle was a murderer and rapist, my brother was murderered, my father is a pedophile, my mother is physically abusive and most of us are.

 

I grew up very poor and have seen some bad things. I was molested as a child, I saw a woman get raped, dabbled in incest, etc.

 

I know it's pathetic to post this stuff on the internet, but ever since I left my psychiatrist I really have no one to talk to. And I sure as hell won't hare any of these things to people IRL.

Honestly you just sound like another attention seeking person on the internet. Labeling yourself a psychopath, saying you don't have emotions, trying to make out like you can influence people and that you're charismatic etc. In reality you're probably just another angsty teenager that has trouble fitting in and struggles to make eye contact.

Honestly, I don't believe anyone is incapable of love. But one must recognise the various forms of the emotion.

There is the intense love one feels for their friends and romantic partners - a bond I believe is stronger due to being based on free will.

There is the love between family members, strong but weakened due to the fact that you are obligated to care for them.

Then there is the instinctive love most people feel upon seeing either a newborn infant or a cute animal - a simplistic emotion, but very powerful due to our perception of their innocence.

 

I don't think anyone can be completely lacking all of these facets, I don't think that's possible. Oh, and that goes for those with a psychotic personality disorder, too. Manipulating and hurting people does not necessarily mean you feel nothing for them, the sentiments are there, but the respect for their autonomy is not.

I've never been able to love anyone.

 

I feel nothing when my parents are almost dead in the hospital.

 

I feel nothing when my little sister is whoring herself out in middle school.

 

I feel nothing for my close family and they are all depressed as sh*t but I keep telling them I have no time to give them (a total lie I have all the time in the world).

 

I do not hate people. I am even capable of empathy, compassion, etc.

 

But I can never get close to people without thinking of using them to stimulate some desire I have.

 

Does anyone else deal with this? Any advice?
