I Am Incapable of Loving People. What About You?

I've never been able to love anyone.

 

I feel nothing when my parents are almost dead in the hospital.

 

I feel nothing when my little sister is whoring herself out in middle school.

 

I feel nothing for my close family and they are all depressed as sh*t but I keep telling them I have no time to give them (a total lie I have all the time in the world).

 

I do not hate people. I am even capable of empathy, compassion, etc.

 

But I can never get close to people without thinking of using them to stimulate some desire I have.

 

Does anyone else deal with this? Any advice?

But isn't everyone like this? I only make friends with people who can give me things. Everyone does this right?

Life is easy. I used to get offers from many churches, even the Potter's House to be a preacher for young adults.

 

Maybe once I get back on track with my life, I can start pretending to follow the Bible again.

Back in 2010, I "prophesied" to a woman that God was going to heal her of her cancer.

 

She was crying and even put it on Facebook.

Yes, I am. My mother taught me from a young age. I would preach at churches. So, I use this skill in non-church situations, too.

 

My mother taught me a lot of things. Most of them unintentionally. I've learned how to get people to tell me their secrets, to make them think I'm a special person, that I understand them, etc.

I'm mostly incapable of love as in romance with somebody. At first I thought you were just having trouble understanding yourself and a possible asexual situation like myself that you were unaware of existing but this...I can't say I compare to this type of "lack of love" at all. I love my parents and sisters and friends.

 

Have you experienced a lot of emotional stress lately? My guess is you're experiencing emotional trauma and feel somewhat apathetic and lack specific emotions for the time being or at least feel really dulled. Things like that just fix their selves over time if they're not so severe.

It probably has to do with certain things I saw as a child. I grew up in a dysfunctional family. My grandfather was a murderer, my uncle was a murderer and rapist, my brother was murderered, my father is a pedophile, my mother is physically abusive and most of us are.

 

I grew up very poor and have seen some bad things. I was molested as a child, I saw a woman get raped, dabbled in incest, etc.

 

I know it's pathetic to post this stuff on the internet, but ever since I left my psychiatrist I really have no one to talk to. And I sure as hell won't hare any of these things to people IRL.

My reply was that I have this skill to open opportunities in my life.

1. There's nothing cool about being incapable of love. It's a depressing thing that I would change given the chance.

 

And I do feel emotions like anyone else. I'm just incredibly selfish.

3. I'm actually jealous of other people and their upbringings. I'm an emotionally scarred individual with little opportunities in life, thanks to an abusive home with constant death and criminal activity

Abuse runs in our family. They're not any worse to me than each other.

 

It's very dysfunctional. We've gotten into physical fights, verbal use, and destruction of each other's property. We still do.

 

There's also a sexual dysfunction as I dabbled in incest as a young teenager. As well as my father molesting my older sister for 5 years. It's weird. My mother had sex with one of her sister's husband long time ago, and my dad had sex with one of my mother's sisters.

 

Then add in the emotional abuse, power plays, money, control, etc.
