Character loss still occuring

This is ridiculous, a friend of mine who was level 68 got reset out of the blue today. How is this STILL happening? He got no notice of any kind of cloud issues. He simply got disconnected from the server and lost everything. He's gonna contact R* support, but I doubt anything good will happen for the poor guy. What I want to know is why they're going to give us $500k for a problem that isn't even fixed yet...obviously they've made some improvements. It's not like most of the players are losing their characters anymore, but it's baffling how they're still letting this occur. It seems like all support has been shifted to the prevention of making money lol.

I havent lost my character, but every so often the game decides to randomly morph my characters facial structure and hair, change my skin color to a middle eastern-ish type of color, and my eye color to a extremely bright green.

This has happened around 6 times since last week and everytime i quickly turn off my xbox so it doesnt save my morphed character. Hopefully they fix this glitch and the character losses, i'd rather not lose my level 104 character.
