Exit the vehicle without shutting down the engine?

Exactly what the subject says. Is it possible? In GTA IV it was possible to choose whether to shut off the engine or not. In GTA V, no matter if I tap or hold the Triangle button, the engine always seems to be shutting down, which is a major annoyance in situation when each second counts.

Yes it is possible.

 

 

 

Although I do realize you would prefer a much quicker way of doing it when in gun fight situations etc.

They had a good system in IV. This change they've made was a sh*t decision on their part.

It's a bit of extra work, but it works like a charm. I really hope they change it back to GTA IVs system though. I'm gonna keep emailing them about it. Maybe they'll get tired of people bugging them and implement it.

You can also shoot your weapon (preferrably suppressed) out the window, get out of the car, then get back in(make sure to turn headlights on if its not nighttime or if you want), and back out once again. He will leave the car running. Not much better/different than the punching method, but as opposed to the punching method this works every time for me.

Best way is to drive sorta slowly then just bail out of the car while its still moving.

 

The headlights, radio and engine will all still be on.

 

Tbh it's just another bad decision by R* to not have it how it was in GTA IV.
