Gnocchi Flip Flops
Does anybody else feel like that signature GTA humor is just gone from V? The cops never say anything funny and the pedestrians do not have a wide range of dialogue nor are they even funny either. I remember when nearly everything somebody said outside a mission was full of humor in some sort of way or form. I thought IV's humor was okay before V but after V released, IV just seems hilarious compared to V. What happened to those funny ass cop lines, the peds saying suspicious or absolutely stupid lines, or... just where is the humor in this game besides the story quotes? The websites aren't as plentiful as they were in IV and they feel dumbed down, not as funny. The store names are still funny or full of dark humor, but just aren't as funny as previous games. It kind of sucks. Not even the stations are funny. Does anybody else feel the same. PS - no dumbass "your opinion is wrong" style replies, please. Lil ski
I agree with you! The peds are so forgettable and have no personality that its not even funny (literally!) Even IV had funny ass peds and cops and that was the darkest moodiest GTA yet! And the peds where the life of the city in all of the GTA games too. I hope there is a good excuse for that. Like maybe not the same crew that worked on past GTAs worked on this part or maybe they were on a time crunch from the publisher and couldn't think of the humor in the game or what..idk... Sometimes I just wanna say "Rockstar,... you aight man?"

Tilemaxx
Never paid attention to ped/policemen dialogue in any GTA. Maybe because i spend minimal time on foot when in city. (however i like to explore the countryside on foot, in SA and now V). I also don't browse the ingame Internet that much, but to me, IV was a downgrade in terms of humor. No funny radio ads, no billboards around the city, lack of delusional chaacters. Nothing. Nico was kinda depressed with only sporadic one-liners, the craziness of CJ/Tommy was missing in general. In GTA V, the parodies of Facebook (the Lifeinvader ad is hillarious), iPhone, COD, the mobile era hysteria satire, mocking gun control laws and police violence, funny radio ads, the return of parody billboards, i feel the ol' good GTA humor is back now with V. Lock n' Stock
I don't know. Some of the radio ads can be quite funny, as well as the websites and TV shows. However, the Weazel News reports aren't as hilarious as they were in GTA IV/EFLC, and the lack of witty comments from those cops makes me hate them even more. I have heard a few funny comments from pedestrians, but nothing too memorable.

The Jungz
The talk radio stations are a big downgrade. Even back in August, when I had played IV for over a decade, I listened to Just or Unjust and it still made me laugh. V, however, made me giggle once or twice while I listened to WCTR or Blaine County Radio. Its sad @Ola441 Well, its because of people like us, that bitched about the lack of planes in IV or the horrid driving, that Rockstar heard the feedback and changed it for the next game. You need people like us, otherwise, games would never improve. Edited October 25, 2013 by ThroatSlasher2 TropicScrolls
IveGotNoValues
GTA has matured since the 3D era. It still has lots of humor, just not the childish kind like back in SA (69 everywhere you look). The humor in it now tends to be more serious and less random and unrealistic.
BarelyLegal
I actually prefer them to have less funny dialogue. When I've smacked an old woman across the head with a hammer, I don't want the pedestrian sitting beside her to yell out sexual innuendo. I want it to be as brutal and lifelike as possible. Leave the humor to the cutscenes/certain missions.

SmoothGetaway
I think the mouse in the in game internet says it all.Seriously. I don't think it's that the games are getting less funny, I think it's become more subtle. But not always. Just yesterday I drove by a dispensary called 'Hit and Run'. 'Smell like a bitch' makes me laugh everytime, as does many of the commercials on the radio. Does no one else find the Epsilon stuff funny? Shame...this game easily tops IV, and IV was hilarious. Edit- This game's 'cheesy vagina!' is 'f*ck me in the ass!', neither of which were very funny. Edited October 25, 2013 by SmoothGTA

I can understand why they find it unappealing but I booted up IV yesterday and I couldn't even turn a corner, at 20 mph without feeling like I would flip my Turismo over. That's f*cking ridiculous. woggleman
To me this game is much funnier than IV. I like humor that is a true observation about life and she satire in this game is as point as a laser. I have actually dated women who remind me of that jogger so I laughed out loud when I ran into her. SmoothGetaway
